Today my malwarebytes (premium) program began blocking an outlook office 365 attempt to do something, I don't know what. I've spent several hours trying to figure out what and why.
The notice that it's being blocked keeps coming up, randomly, but somewhat regularly, even if I'm not doing anything on the web.
I do not own nor have installed any Microsoft Office programs, but I do use Outlook for my msn email account.
I did upgrade windows 10 to the Developers Upgrade last month. It includes a new mail program that opens into my Outlook msn account, from the task bar. I also access Outlook through a browser, which I use most of the time, and that site also went through
some changes that apparently upgrades it to look like the mail program that came with the Developers Upgrade, including the Focus option. I reconfigured both programs in the settings to get rid of the Focus option yesterday; I don't know how that would have
any effect on this new problem, but that's the only thing I've done recently with Outlook.
OneNote is another suspect. It seems OneNote has been incorporated into Outlook as a place to save emails. At least the version I access through my browser. I don't use OneNote anymore, I did try it out for awhile, but I didn't want to uninstall it just
in case I might want to start using it, but I'm thinking that uninstalling it might be an option, as part of my troubleshooting efforts.
I have "get office" turned off in my app notification center so it's not related to that.
Can anyone help me find the source for this problem?
