Skype uses the wrong subscription leaving me unable to call mobile phones

I have two active subscriptions. One I get with Office 365 (60 minutes to landlines and mobile phones*(but not support mobiles in my region) and one I subscribed my self (Greece: 100 minutes to landlines and mobile phones). 

The problem is that when I call a landline, Skype automatically uses the minutes from the latter, that allows me to call both landlines and mobiles. When that is depleted it starts using the first that can only call landlines and that leaves me unable to call to a mobile phone.

The easiest solution to my problem would be if the 60 minutes I get with office 365 supported mobile phones in my region (Greece).

An alternative solution would be if Skype would prioritise the 60 minutes from office 365 to call landlines and when that is depleted to use the next subscription.

Or if I could change the priority manually, or could choose what subscription to use to make a call.

The alternative solutions sure complicate things though.

Title explains all. Im on google chrome and I cannot connect to discord suddenly but couldn't connect to csgo empire since I got my pc. Im on windows 10 and this doesn't work on Microsoft edge and firefox. Please help because Im in a struggle.

Since a Windows update around May 20, 2017, I can't use my blu ray player or printer on my dell laptop anymore. I tried all the solutions proposed on your website, it hasn't fix the problem. When I connect the blu ray or printer with a usb cable, nothing happens. The USB port are fine because my mouse, and cell phone work. Both printer, and dvd player are in device manager but hidden. When I click on the printer or blu ray, it gives me an error code 45, but the blu ray is connected to the laptop. I hope somebody can help me with this.

O meu PC não tem atalho para a webcam e não estou conseguindo usa-la. Tentei atualizar o drive e saiu o nome da webcam e entro dispositivo de vídeo. Como faço para atualiza-la para leva voltar ao normal? E poder utilizar.

I cannot create a user account for my grandson that doesn't immediately log off after logging in.

Searching the internet for a solution it appears that there are hundred of users who have the same problem, some going as far back as 2015, so I cannot understand why Microsoft has not solved this issue.

I have run the Microsoft account troubleshooter and other than it says I have no internet connection (How then can I be writing this) it cannot find any issues.

I created a "Visitor" account using the command prompt so my grandson could log on without a password and Windows immediately goes back to the log-in screen.

The only way I can enable my grandson to successfully log in is by making him an administrator - not a secure solution!

Does someone know the solution to this problem?

recentally I was trying to put a file on to my Seagate external hard drive and I in plug it then come back to look at the file later but the drive was not showing up, and I have tried lots of different things but cannot get mt drive to work properly, I need answers please!!!

Hey community,

since I installed the Creators Update, I have a weird issue: my text highlight colors are somewhat messed up. It might be a small issue but it still bothers me. When I select any kind of text, the highlight color appears a bit darker than it was before the update. Due to my research, I changed the RGB values in the registry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Control Panel/Colors as well as /Desktop/Colors for "Hilight" and "MenuHilight". This change made the highlight color go back to normal although everytime I set Windows to standby and log in again, it resets these colors. For some reason, this issue doesn't appear when I log off or when I shut Windows down. I haven't found any solution for this specific problem yet which is why I hope to get an answer here.

 I created a freshly formatted 50 GB partition on a hard drive, then clean installed 16215 from a DVD in 18 minutes.  I left Windows with nothing else installed and then started the update to 16226.  Just getting through until it was ready to do the first restart took 1 hour 50 min.  I could write a better update program in my sleep!  :(
 Obviously UUP is going back to the HDD to see what needs to be updated next at each step when it could keep a table in memory with the status of EVERY Windows file in about 600 MEG (that's 0.6 GB you know).  There are well under 150,000 total files in Windows 10 Pro, so that's 4 bytes per file in 0.6 GB.  This 1st stage of the update runs in 2.5 GB when most of us have 8 GB in 64 bit systems.  That means 5.5 GB of RAM are unused while UUP is beating the poor hard drive to death.

 

 This is extremely past due for MS to fix it or give us back the old far superior update process for PCs.  MS employees have posted notes here that they want us to use UUP and not create ISOs.  Well cooperation is a two way street.  I'll use the UUP upgrade process for my two SSD systems, but for my 4 HDD systems, I'll make ISOs or just not upgrade them until and unless MS fixes this ridiculous mess that UUP is.  :(

Hi, all. I just got a brand new computer (yay!), and I noticed there's a Skype app built into the operating system (Windows 10). 

So, I have a few quick questions:

Does this app fully replace, function-wise, the Skype program I used on my previous computer? (All my contacts, etc., already seem to be recognized in the app.) Or should I also download the Skype program to access different/extra features, if any?

Also, does the app work with Pamela (recorder), just as the Skype program does? Or does the app have a built-in recorder function? (Sorry, I'm still exploring the computer...)

Hej. Jeg ved ikke, om det er her, jeg kan få svar, men jeg prøver:

jeg har problemer med iCloud. Det har altid fungeret upåklageligt, men ikke mere. Når jeg tager fotos med min iPhone 4s vil billederne ikke overføres til min Windows 10 pc og heller ikke til min iPad. Jeg har ikke ændret på indstillingerne....

Using the Microsoft Remote Desktop Android app.

Installed Remote Desktop Assistant on PC.

I've made sure the PC can allow for remote desktop sessions.

Used connection info provided by Desktop Assistant for the Android app.

Try connecting on cell network: get error 0x104. Something like "can't find this pc".

Switch to local Wi-Fi network that desktop is connected to. Now it finds the machine, but it doesn't take my login info. "The user name or password did not work."

Try every combination I can think of. Email, computername\username, user name only. NOTHING WORKS.

What am I missing?

Greetings,

Quite recently, many people have been dealing with the connectivity issue. As announced, Skype said that the issue has been ''fully'' resolved. 

I am not sure whether my connectivity problems have ''fully'' been resolved. I mean, yes I can connect to Skype, I can make calls, I can send messages, I can receive messages etc. But there's this one slight issue where my girlfriend can't receive my messages; I can receive hers, but she can't receive mine. She also mentioned that I am the only one whose messages are not being received.

We have tried to:

- Block each other, then unblock each other.

- Log off of Skype, and log back in.

- Reinstall Skype on several devices, such as, laptop, phone and tablet.

Whose problem is it, and how do we fix it?

I have an old Roxio program with cd labels, used to run on Windows 98, but not back compatible with any newer Windows versions.  I have been running a Win 98 virtual machine on my Win 7 system, which of course sooner or later will die like all old PC's do.

Thinking in advance, would I be able to use the VM files from that older system on Win 10 Pro running Hyper-V, or would I need to create a new virtual machine (if, in fact, that can even be done with old Win 98 install discs).

Thanks much for your thoughts...if this is not do-able, life will go on!

P.S.  I could not identify a topic other than "settings" in which to post this, sorry if I should have chosen a better spot!
