I have only recently noticed this error (as in after updating to 1703) when 1. Trying to check for updates 2. trying to open the store app and 3. trying to sign in to Groove.
Currently I cannot check for updates as the error: "There were some problems installing updates, but we'll try again later. If you keep seeing this and want to search the web or contact support for information, this may help: (0x800704cf)"
I also cannot open the store app properly or at all. Sometimes it doesn't open at all, jus hangs on the loading screen. Other times it opens to a black screen with the sign in button at the top blank (as if I had not singed in) and I am unable to do anything.
Other times the store loads the first page, but scrolling down or trying to navigate to another tab causes the "You appear to not be connected to the internet"error with this code. Groove loads and works fine by always shows the same error as the store (when it does) and does not ever allow me to sign in., just repeats the same error message.
Cortana appears to work fine.
I have already tried running variations of DSM.exe, wsreset.exe hangs on the black window and does not seem to do anything, and many other methods to try and fix this.
Specs:
Custom laptop form PC Specialist (UK)
Windows 10 Home 64-bit
i5 7300HQ
8GB 2400MHz RAM
GTX 1050 Ti 4Gb
No third party AV programs, only windows defender active
Any solutions that do not involve reinstalling the OS would be preferable, but anything that lets me keep my files would be fine though (I have a lot of games installed, but most of the HD is still free)
