Hi
I have turned on my PC this morning to find I can't sign in to my account. My wife and two children's accounts on the same PC are unaffected. Whether it's related I don't know, but we did have a powercut while I was booting up the computer (caused by the oven so unrelated), but it did cross my mind that if there had been something being updated since it was last used that this could have affected it.
I've googled the issue and did a check via the command prompt which showed up nothing. I've also used the Setting troubleshooter which has flagged that there is a 'potential windows update database error detected' but with no guidance on how to fix it (though it does ask if i would like to, there is no option to actually do it!).
I uninstalled the most recent update (applied 12/7/18): KB4345421 and reinstalled but no joy. The previous one before that (also 12/7/18) does not give me the option to uninstall (KB4343669).
Everything worked fine before - this is so frustrating. And there are files I think only I can access (though my wife is also an admin on the PC).
Please help!
Thanks,
James
