A couple of users are (intermittently) experiencing issues saving Excel files. (Excel 2016, o365 monthly update channel, Win 10 Pro)
Attached image shows two files that were saved at the same time, both with identical changes added (additional data was copied from file on left to the right). User is certain that they "Saved As" for both files and gave them the filenames with the days date contained.
However, although the file name has saved on both files, only the file on the right has had the changes to the data saved, this is also reflected in the Last Modified date being changed only in that file.
Now, it could be that the user is mis-remembering and renamed the file in Windows then neglected to save the changes in Excel, but, we have two users who are getting this issue quite often with Excel files not saving data changes (both to Sharepoint 2013 and locally). I have tried to replicate, but can't, I have watched them work for a time and not seen the issue and the files do not seem to have any issues and nothing is jumping out in Event Viewer or
Short of sitting down next to them for a week or so to see what they are doing (and it no doubt not happening), are they any other steps I can take to see what's going on!?
