Lumia 640 LTE (no SIM card) receiving 2018-10 Update for Win 10 1709 but fails to install
Howdy y'all. Windows Update is downloading the 2018-10 Update for Win 10 1709 (10.0.15254.158) but after the download, the update fails. After the restart, the animated gears turn, but the failure message is: "We couldn't install updates because there's a problem with the date and time information on your device." I've tried several times by tapping the Retry button, but unsuccessful. I don't see a misconfiguration with the phone's date and time.
I'm aware that the 640 LTE isn't supported but why does Windows Update offer the 2018-10 Update? Known workarounds?

I've been locked out of my Email because of this anti-spam thing
So, I went to open my Email a couple days ago and upon opening I was redirected to a "Help us fight spam email" tab. I had to enter my mobile phone number to receive a code from Microsoft which I would then enter to gain access to my account again. The
problem is that the code didn't send, so I tried again then it said "usage for your phone number has been exceeded, try again tomorrow". I tried again the day after and today and it still says the same thing so I'm effectively locked out of my Email account.
Is there any way to solve this?

PCIe network card crashing computer
Hi all,
Issue : 10/28/2018
I'm trying to get my asus PCE-AC88 card working. I can boot to windows and the card works. Within a few minutes I get a blue screen of death. The screen doesn't even last long enough for me to catch the error code and the pc restarts. This will be an endless loop. I have tried all available pcie slots. The only other slot used is my top 16x which has my praphics card.
Odd piece of info, will the pc is shut off plugging in the wifi card to the pcie slot will cause the pc to turn on. Plugging it in while the pc is off and power supply switch is turned off it will still try to turn on. And the only way to get device manager to recognize the card is to plug it in while the pc is off, and the power plug is unplugged from the power supply.
I thought it may be an IRQ issue but I unplugged my graphics card and used the on board graphics to test. This issue persisted. Additionally I tried disabling the onboard wifi both in windows and the bios in case it was in conflict with that but this was not a solution.
I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers for the network adapter as well as reinstalled windows...no luck.
My build:
I7 8700k
Asus strix z370 mobo
Nvidia gtx 1080ti
64gb corsair vengeance
Asus pce88 pcie network adapter.
Windows 10 64bit

I checked the reliability monitor and the only information provided says "windows was not shutdown properly"
Checking the event log I am seeing
Event ID 10016 DistributedCOM
"the application-specific permission setting gs do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application to with CLSID"
I am unfamiliar with this and not sure if it is related.
I also download bluescreenview to capture the minidump files but nothing shows up. Not files get logged. I believe this is due to what I mentioned before. The BSoD appear but only for 1 second before restarting. No information is collected.
I updated my bios to the latest version and am still having the same. Issue
After reading about stability issues with the ac68 I came across an issue with the drivers using the Broadcom chipset. I have rolled back my driver to the original release
Version 2.8.0.3 from the asus website
And in driver details. In device manager it shows version :1.558.48.0
Copyright is still to Broadcom and still causing me issues.
In event viewer I'm also seeing:
Event ID 7026
"the following boot start or system start drivers did not load : dam"

I asked a question on Oct 26 2018 and it is locked. No solution is mentioned. Why lock it so quickly before a Solution was provided.
Like many other people, I have asked for a solution to the Jumping Cursor problem. Is this how you shut down discussion? None of the so called solutions have changed the way my cursor acts and it may be getting worse. By the other user's comments, many of them have also not received a solution.
Keith asked me if I have a 3rd party antivirus which I do. But it is the same Anti-Virus I have had from Comcast for the last 20 years. He also suggested I restart in Safe Mode and tinker with the settings. I will follow his suggestion when I get a chance. Some of us must use a computer to earn a living and problems like these make even small projects take much longer than it should.

Glitch with notifications in bottom right?
My predator Helios 300 has recently started having problems with its Windows 10 notifications. Whenever a notification pops up in the bottom right no matter what it is, it will say your office installation is complete in glitched out letters that don't
totally fit in the box even though when I click on it, it was a notification for discord or to sync with office cloud. My PC has not had problems with any such thing in the past and i expect there is a way to fix this. Please help me I don't want to have to
deal with this for the rest of the time me using this laptop especially because of esports I participate in, Thank you.

Unlinking fields
I automate a merge from msaccess to a word template. The template has :
- {mergefield} codes for data fields in the msaccess database
- {includetext} fields for subdocuments that plug into the tempate
- {seq} codes for numbered lists.
When the merge completes, my vba code unlinks all fields so that the {mergefield} codes and {includetext) docs are no longer linked to the resulting Word document. However, I do not want to unlink the {seq} fields. The user may wish to add/delete lists/items from the resulting document, and of course, I don't want them to lose the feature of the auto re-numbering sequences.
I am currently using these commands to unlink:
Selection.wholeStory
Selection.Fields.unlink
How can I keep word from unlinking the {seq} fields, while still unlinking the {mergefield} and {includetxt} fields?

Activation Windows 10 impossible

Depuis cet après midi au bas de mon écran est noté " Activer Windows accéder aux paramètres Windows"
Je possède ce PC de marque HP version oem depuis 2011 Windows 7.
Ce pc a migré vers Windows 10 il y a 3 ans environ.
Constatant que le Pc avait des soucis de lenteur, j'ai réinstallé Windows 10 hier à l'aide de l'outils Windows , et cela ne l'a pas vraiment arrangé.
Je n'ai jamais pas pu accéder au bios alors que j'y accédais auparavant. J'ai retiré la pile afin de faire un clear cmos, rien à faire bios toujours pas accessible.
Impossibilité de faire une nouvelle restauration à l'aide de l'outils Windows, je me suis aperçu que la partition recovery HP du disque dur avait disparu.
enfin lorsque je veux l'activer, il est noté
" le dépannage est terminé. "

Nous n'avons pu activer Windows sur cet appareil.
Il est indiqué que je peux l'activer en achetant une licence ( mais bien sur )
Je précise que j'ai tout essayé, mode administrateur... et qu'il n'y avait pas de problème internet, du moins chez moi.
J'ai voulu modifier la clé en entrant celle qui appartient au PC et là il est indiqué :
la dernière clé de produit id ...............que vous avez entrée ne peut pas être utilisée sur cette copie de Windows (0x80070005)
Voila mon problème, si une personne à la solution je l'accepte volontiers.
Sinon j’essaierai de revenir a Windows 7 à l'aide d'une image disque faite avant la migration.

El problema surgió cuando un corte de luz hizo saltar los plomos de mi domicilio con el ordenador encendido, al volver a iniciarlo iba todo bien hasta que ponia mi contraseña (Windows 10). Me enciende el S.O y veo mi fondo de pantalla y la barra de tareas pero no ninguna aplicacion que instalé o iconos. Puedo mover el ratón pero si pulso sobre la barra de tareas se queda cargando el cursor. Desde el modo seguro me pone qué ha dejado de funcionar. No puedo hacer absolutamente mada y he probado arreglar desde Modo Seguro con CMD con los comandos de Health, pero nada...
¿Alguna solución?

Powerpoint version 16.18 and Embedded YouTube videos
I just upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft office for my Mac computer. I am running Mac OS High Sierra (10.13.6) and still am unable to get my embedded YouTube videos to play once i transition to the slide show! My main reason for upgrading was
that Microsoft specifically stated that the ability to play Youtube videos in your presentations would be supported in this version. I have followed the tutorial videos step by step to insert the video and have no issues with that. My recurring issue, no
matter the powerpoint version, is when I switch to slide show or presenter view the video just shows a "still" screen with no option to play the video. Please help
