My desktop computer has worked fine since I got it in June, until today. I turned it on and it absolutely refuses to connect to the internet. I have tried wi-fi, using the antenna adapter I’ve been using for months, and also ethernet, and neither worked.
The ethernet should work but I am at school and therefore unable to test another port or to know whether it’s really genuinely working or not (we have to send requests in to activate them which I did months ago so it SHOULD work).
Nonetheless, it says the wireless card is working and I believe it is a problem within the computer itself. I have tried resetting the network settings, reinstalling the drivers for this adapter, and a system restore. The system restore refused to go through,
however. My computer is detecting all of the usual networks and will connect to them but with limited access (the yellow ! triangle). It just will not connect to the internet.
When I use the network troubleshooter it tells me to reset the modem/router but I can’t (college) and I don’t believe it’s that because my phone and my roommate’s devices are all working. The computer is working fine other than this.
