I upgraded my W8.1 to W10. Now some apps. I can not download, simply: telling me "W10 required". I am running W10, but it seams to me that my PC is showing W8.1 instead. Any suggestion how to change that?

Xbox App Will Not Open. W10
The Xbox and Xbox Smartglass apps will not open on Windows 10. When I click the app the green window shows up for a second then closes. I have tried WSReset.exe and updating the store and the apps, but these suggestions do not work. All other apps work
without any problems; it is only the Xbox and Xbox Smartglass apps.

Error adding email to IMAP server [Error 9. Server error. Please try again later.]
Hi
I have what used to be called a Hotmail.com email account, and Windows 7 running 32 bit Office 2013 with Outlook as my email client.
I have a large number of emails in a PST file that I wish to upload to Outlook.com.
I’m am using Aid4mail to aid the process with the following settings
1. Server name imap-mail.outlook.com
2. Port 993
3. Security SSL
Although I have been able to upload a large number of folders and emails without any problems in the last few days, I now regularly get the following error message
“Error adding email to IMAP server [Error 9. Server error. Please try again later.]”
I suspect that I have hit a storage limit on the server.
Can anyone help with the problem?

Creating variable interval schedule in Excel
Hi, I'm trying to create a variable interval schedule in Excel. I have the data range information plotted in a scatter graph but need to indicate on various points on the already plotted line where a particular event happened. These events also need to be in the legend. It needs to look like this:

Does anyone know how to add those extra marks (on a 45 degree angle) to the already plotted line of data?
I've tried using error bars but they will only show for all points of the line rather than a few selective points.
The only option I have at the moment is to create some lines from the insert shape option and place them on the graph, then insert a text box at the legend. However, I can't seem to group these with the chart, so exporting it into a word document is messy.
Any help would be amazing!

powerpoint has unwanted graphic
Powerpoint 2016/365 has the little audio image embedded on the blank screen. This is NOT a slide master - it is in the basic program, and it appears in every ppt file I bring up, every slide show on every slide and on Camtasia screens as well.
How do I get rid of this thing?

קניתי office 2016 והתקנתי את האוטלוק , אחרי שקבלתי 3 מיילים הנפס מקסימאלי של 1 מגה , כבר רושם לי הודעה ששטח האחסון מלא ,ולא מצליח להשתמש במייל , אז נכנסתי למייל דרך הדפדפן בכדי להשתמש משם , איך שאני עושה שלח , זה דורש אימות ושאני עובד לאימות זה כל הזמן טוען ולא קורה, את המייל הזה פתחתי בשביל פרויקט חדש ל 10 שנים והמייל כבר פורסם לכל הגורמים הרלוונטי , ממש דפקו אותי מיקרוסופט .

Help with lost Hotmail.com
We had a secondary email address on our Xbox live account. We deleted the secondary email address (Hotmail account) and email account vanished. We cannot log in. Trying to log in to email account it says account doesn't exist. Trying to create new Hotmail account using same email says account already exists. Also emails sent to this lost Hotmail account are NOT bouncing back. Help!

Microsoft needs to fix this: Windows 10 persistently changes the keyboard setting to "UK keyboard" (incorrect), and the fix only lasts till the next reboot.
PROBLEM: KEYBOARD LAYOUT PERSISTENTLY REVERTS TO WRONG SETTING (UK)
Installation of Windows 10 (from 8.1) created a problem that recurs every time the computer is rebooted: mykeyboard layout setting is altered from the correct US (Dell) keyboard mapping to the incorrect UK keyboard.
SYMPTOMS
These are the symptoms: typing the AT key gives “ ; typing the DOUBLE QUOTE KEY gives @ ; and typing the HATCH/HASH KEY gives £. These settings are for a UK keyboard.
SYSTEM DETAILS:
THE FIX THAT ONLY WORKS UNTIL I REBOOT.
Press and hold the WINDOWS KEY and while doing so press the SPACE KEYS. This brings up a green and black menu of three items
The green item is the one that is selected, but note that pressing the WINDOWS and SPACE KEYS TOGETHER actually CHANGES the setting to the next one down the list, so you need to do this three times to toggle back to the setting you were on before you hit Windows+Space.
None of these settings is correct for my situation [English (Australian); US keyboard], but I can live with the top one (US English/US Keyboard). I’ve just now reselected the top item (having done that yesterday, and the day before, and every day before that ... ) and again it has fixed the above keyboard mapping, so typing AT gives @, Hatch # and “ “.
After rebooting the computer, the keyboard mapping problem always reappears:
AT gives "
HATCH/HASH gives £
DOUBLE QUOTE gives @
Please let me know how I can PERMANENTLY set the keyboard mapping to US, as there is no option apparent under "Settings". To get to Settings, hit the Windows icon at the bottom left of the screen (it is white in Edge and green in Google Chrome). Settings is the third item from the bottom. Under "Time and language" is "Region and language".
As you can see, Australian English is the default, but making the default US English actually does not fix the problem. By the way, the "Set as Default" and "Options" are hidden underneath "English (Australia)" and visible only when you select it, as in the above image. Pressing Options reveals
As you can see, no UK keyboard is even listed, so why does Windows 10 keep changing my setting back to UK keyboard?
I first tried to find a fix to this problem back in early Dec 2015: I reported the problem to Microsoft by phone, and the call lasting about an hour (including the technician having access online to my computer) did not provide a solution; his last attempt was the only one that even worked, and it worked only until the next reboot - so, although I have no idea what he did, it was probably exactly what I described above.
Three previous postings here have been (so far) a waste of time, as the supposed solutions provided by a variety of Microsoft Support Engineers were completely ineffective*, and none has bothered to follow up on my reports demonstrating that the "fixes" did not work.
Surely, somewhere, someone has come up with a proper solution to this problem. Many other users have reported it on the net, but I have not seen a workable solution described.
While I can hardly claim that this is a serious problem, it is irritating enough to be annoying, and for Microsoft not to be able to fix it in the long period since the OS was released, undermines Microsoft's credibility. Can we really rely on this operating system?

*These replies appear to ALL be generalised "cut and paste" responses, inappropriate to the problem and always ineffective in solving it - sometimes because the procedure cannot even be done in Windows 10. As I said, follow-up is also inadequate. One wonders what knowledge, experience and qualifications these people actually have ... and whether some of them are even using Windows 10!

Template Download to PC Not Available
I am on the Microsoft Office site (https://templates.office.com/en-us/templates-for-PowerPoint) trying to download and save a template to my laptop. The only option I am given is to Open in PowerPoint Online. I don't! I already have Office 2016 installed on the laptop, so I want to store the template there. Why make it difficult for people to get things done?

How do I export a Playlist from Windows Media Player 12 to SD card in M3U format?
My car has a SD card slot for playing music (Chevy MyLink infotainment system). My music plays fine but I want to put a playlist on the SD card and the MyLink wants it in M3U format. I have created a playlist in Windows Media Player 12 (Windows 10) and
it works when the SD card is in the computer. How do I export (sync?) the playlist to the SD card in M3U format?

Cell contents have extra padding as in MS Word
I had to reinstall Office 2007 after Win10 hosed my HDD. For some reason, in Excel 2007 the cell contents all have leading and following spacing as you can set in Word for paragraphs. The cell content alignment is set to bottom. Normally, row height for
Arial 12 pt. is around 12.5. For some reason it's 27 and setting the row height to 12.5 causes the text to pretty much disappear. How can this be corrected?

Windows 8.1 and 10 Enforced 32-bit memory allocation limitations.
I found the deeper issue. It has to do with the coding of Windows 8.1 and Windowd 10 not allowing DX9 32-bit pc games to utilize more than 4064 Mb worth of video memory, NO MATTER WHAT. You can change the page file size all you want, but running
a DX9 Video Memory test it shows 4064 on every test, then I run the DX11 Video Memory test, and it says I have 33644 Mb of Video Memory. And I am sure that seems fine considering that without special treatment almost any 32-bit program cannot utilize more
than 4064 Mb. But through hard work and dedication a select few people made it possible to utilize every last byte of video memory for a 32-bit pc gaming application. All in an effort to make it possible to run games, SKYRIM in particular, with many graphic
intensive mods. And this was somehow hindered in the transition from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1...and I can attest to this through research and through trial and error. I can guarantee for a fact that when I ran the exact same memory test days before I upgraded
from Windows 7 to 10, that I was able to utilize all (roughly) 33000 Mb of video memory even on a 32-bit DX9 game, with those apparent 4064 Mb video memory limitations. And the proof is in the pudding whether windows wants to sit with their arms crossed or
not. I can revisit the same in-game locations where I know was utilizing much more than 4064 Mb on Windows 7, and on Windows 10 and the game crashes to desktop every time in the same memory intensive location, where I once was able to glide into smooth as
butter. I know it may not seem like a big enough problem for enough people for you to want to fix it, but the truth is there are many of us who would like to see a solution. Because the 3 most beautiful games in history, when modded, all run on that 32-bit
DX9 platform. Not sure why the "silent" implementation of the limit was put in place, or may just be a bug, but I ask that you look into it without shrugging it off as stupid. Because it was once possible to exceed that 4064 Mb limit, and it no longer is on
your two most recent OS's. And millions of people still play Skyrim to this day because it aged so well, and because of a thriving and active modding community still working to this day. Thank you for taking the time to read this and would appreciate some

Windows 10 Mail can't find my contacts in People
I have seen about 5 other very recent posts from people who are having the exact same problem and not one person has received a satisfactory response. Here goes again. I don't think this is a "run-the-troubleshooter" issue. There is almost certainly a bug or a very obscure configuration setting that needs better visibility. I am very technical - worked at Microsoft in the product groups for 10 years and am a developer. Someone from Microsoft should investigate this.
When I attempt to send an email using Windows 10 Mail on the PC or Outlook Mail on Windows 10 Phone and I type the name of someone I want to send email to, the app can not seem to find them - even though they are clearly visible in the People app. I've tried typing the display name (friendly name) and the person's email address. Neither work. If I choose the "Search Directory" option, it won't find the people either. I have checked the security settings for Contacts and permissions are granted to Mail and Calendar. I am able to send email to some contacts but I can't figure out why some get found and others don't. Outlook 2016 works perfectly. This worked just fine on Windows Phone 8.1 and seems to be broken now.
Some specifics of my configuration: I use Exchange 365 for email/calendar/contacts and sign in using a "Business" Microsoft Account of the form *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. I have a regular Microsoft Account with the exact same name *** Email address is removed for privacy ***. This can be kind of confusing - one account is labeled the Outlook account and the other is labeled the MyDomain account. Things are configured in Mail 10 to sync the MyDomain/Exchange email/calendar/contacts. The Outlook account is configured to not sync Email. I don't use the Outlook account for email/calendar/contacts at all and this is fine. I wish I could completely hide this account from the calendar and mail but you can't get rid of it presumably because it is the Microsoft Account account used for OneDrive and logging on to Windows.

PROLEMÃO
Estou com um problema no Windows 10, a barra de tarefas está travando os icones dos programas que estão sendo utilizados.
Quando clico nos atalhos da barra de tarefas, eles até abrem mas não consigo desafixar e nem fixar os ícones.
Se desinstalo um programa que o ícone também se instalou nela, na desinstalação ele fica como um papel branco.
Já rodei tudo e inclusive vi uma dica de digitar isso e excluir direto da pasta o que não adiantou:

Fui checar também no registro o "IsShortcut" no registro em “HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT” para ver se estava habilitado para retirar as setas de atalho mas que também não permitem adicionar atalhos na barra de tarefas. Estava normal e testei.
Tentei também programas como o classic shel para substituir o menu iniciar e ver se a barra de tarefas voltava ao normal, sem resultado também.
Aqui mesmo no forum vi algo parecido com o Windows 7 onde mandava desinstalar o drive de vídeo e reinstalar de novo.
Também não.
Troquei até a placa de vídeo da ATi por uma Nvidea... Constatei o mesmo erro.
Meu Windows funciona corretamente, sem nenhum problema, liso, reto, rápido, tem 16Gb de memória, placa vídeo Ati de 4Gb e processador AMD A8-7600
Apenas esse bug que não consigo resolver, alguma luz ?
