Hello,
I have a new computer using Windows 10 Pro and am having issues with getting Outlook (for Office 365) to work with my digital certificate. I exported my digital certificate from my old computer to a .pfx file and then installed it onto the new computer. Installation was "successful", however when I try to open encrypted emails, I get the message:
"Sorry, we're having trouble opening this item. This could be temporary, but it you see it again you might want to restart Outlook. Your Digital ID name cannot be found by the underlying security system."
So I contacted the Certificate Authority from whom I purchased my digital certificate for help and they recommended having the certificate reissued and then installing the reissued certificate onto the new computer. I did this and am still getting the same error message.
I have searched for a solution and have not been able to find any.
I use the certificate to exchange secure emails with FDA so REALLY need to get this to work on the new computer. Has anyone run into this problem and have a solution?
Thanks!
Pam
