My cable modem died so I had to replace it. Xfinity's cable modems has a built in wifi router. Since I got the new one my laptop will connect to the wifi for a couple of minutes then i loose connection. Tried for an hour to reconnect to the internet last
night and I kept getting a message "cannot connect". All other devices in my house works perfectly. My wife's laptops laptop has a 802.11ac and connects to the 2.4GHz. My laptop has a 802.11n wifi adapter. The old modem showed I was connecting to 2.4GHz. Now
i can't connect to that the 2.4GHz, only the 5GHz. Do I need to buy a new 802.11ac adapter? My laptop is a Dell latitude E6530. Thanks in advance.
