I used my hotmail email account a few days ago in a library and started receiving worrying messages when using mail app a day or two later.
Today, when I tried to see what's going on, I discovered that the account is blocked because of "unusual activity and some spam messages being sent from it". It looks that the account was hacked and now to unblock it I am being told to provide my mobile phone number!
You guys already have my password recovery email that could be used to send a code, yet you demand to have my mobile phone number (the person on the chat asked for it three times).
After long conversation with your employee (Irma), she gave me a link that didn't work and promptly finished conversation without waiting for any further questions.
Now, I cannot even access live chat as the only message that I receive it that my account is blocked for unusual activity and I need to give you my mobile phone number to receive the code.
I wonder whether this trick breaks the rules of gathering and processing data and could be referred to any relevant institution???
I am fed up with this recurring problem as the account was blocked before but it's the first time that you demand to know my mobile phone number and you will not budge unless I provide you with one!
ps. Are you phasing out hotmail as there is not even an option for hotmail in category window?
