We have a situation where we do not want to update the links automatically but not prompt the user either. We set a group policy to prompt the user due to the fact that there are workbooks that would take a really long time opening because the links are trying to update.
This works fine for a workbook with a single link however it has now resulted in the scenario where if a user opens a workbook which contains multiple links they are prompted multiple times to update/not update before the workbook opens which results obviously in a poor user experience.
I know of a per-workbook basis work around where you can change the start-up prompt to "Do not update" " Do not ask" but is there a way to set globally across all workbooks?
