I am a very experienced user of Excel, having run it on many OS since it was invented and released. I have developed systems using it as the core program. For example, I have cells linked from one sheet to others which auto-update, and I depend on Excel being FULLY functional at all times.
Ever since I moved to Office 365 some years ago, Excel has been causing me problems. I keep expecting it to get better but it is getting worse and more disruptive. I have a Solid State Drive, and 16gb RAM, a 3.1GHz Intel Core i7 running on MacOS High Sierra 10.13.6
Issue - When I select a row, the ‘selection’ does not show on the page as what I select. Sometimes it is half a row out, sometimes more than 1 row … often to the top and right (or left) of the cell/s I am selecting. At the same time, the selection is less than fully stable. This selection error is unable to be corrected. This is difficult to work with when speeding through changing cell values or text which I do in many documents each day.
Any assistance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
