#1: The troubleshooter "Playing & Burning CDs, DVDs & Blu-Ray Discs" will not / does not run. When clicking on said troubleshooter, I get a popup saying: "Unexpected error occurred. The troubleshooter wizard can't continue".
Here are the details of that error message:
Pkge ID: CDDVDDIAGNOSTIC
PATH: Unknown
Error Code: Ox80070057
Source: Catalog
User: (Me)
Context: Restricted
#2: My ACER Aspire laptop has always played DVDs, no more.
I had been backing up files & folders to a DVD, DVDs are no longer recognized for some reason, CDs work fine for playing or recording & using for backup.
Looked up that "Error Code" and there is nothing that specifically points to my problem/s.
#3: Would the Windows Media Player have any effect on either problem ??
#4: Would the following updates have any bearing on this: KB3022345, KB3035583 & KB3068708
I've read elsewhere in the forums that KB3035583 is MS "nag ware" for W10
Any and all help is greatly appreciated !!!!
