Upgraded from Windows 7 Pro to 10 Pro. Other than a few issues like having mysql removed from services and having to be put back in everything seemed to go well.
Until I tried logging in remotely. Went back to the local box and reset the password and tried RDP login again and rejected. Tried connecting to the local shared drives and had the same issue.
Created a new user account, set password, granted access to RDP. Login rejected. Tried file share access...also rejected.
I also get an error when trying to set user account to a Microsoft account...just says Oops something happened but no other details.
Have tried user name only as well as things like
localuser/theusername
PCNAME/theusername
workgroupname/theusername
Everything just gets flat out rejected...however I can log in fine locally on all said accounts with the same passwords.
It's almost as if something borked during the upgrade process and has done something to the network connection naming??
I have verified all connections are working, firewall is disabled.
I am truly stumped and don't know where to start.
