Trouble connecting after I get to Skype contacts page.

I am having trouble connecting to a phone call. I open up skype window. get contacts page. click on contact to call. everything working properly up to this point. click on phone symbol to call contact, window changes to show phone call going through then immediately after 1-2 seconds switches back to contacts page. Had a windows 10 update at beginning of month that took out some of my programs and apps and affected this program. Any help with fixing????
