'Add' on Contacts at the top of Skype question

Hello:

I did chat with a friend for the first time by using Skype and after that I attempted to 'add' to his name by clicking 'Contacts' at the top of Skype.

However, there is no 'add' in the Contacts.  

My questions is:

There is NO an address-book on Skype like an address book of e-mail  which is convenient for finding and sending e-mail easily and quickly?

If there is no address book on Skype, then,

How to save a friend's name for the future conversation with him?
