Hello
I have a mysterious and recurrent problem with Outlook 2016 (Office 365) on Windows 7:
Outlook doesn't start, it just keeps showing "loading profile".
I can solve the problem (most of the times) be creating a new profile but this only helps for a few hours. Afterwards the problem is back and I would have to start over again by creating a new profile.
I tried the following things without permanent success:
- Creating a new profile (as I said: usually helps but only for a few hours)
- Repair Installation / Reinstallation (Several times including "online repair" and uninstallation with subsequent new installation. Doesn't help.)
- Checking the OST file with scanpst.exe (several times)
- Checking the hard disks S.M.A.R.T. values (unsuspicious) and running sfc /scannow (no problems found)
- Starting Outlook in safe mode, deactivate all AddIns (doesn't help)
Now I don't know what else I can do. I can't use Outlook in a reasonable way if I have to recreate the profile every day.
By the way: The mail account in question is connected via IMAP. I can configure it in Thunderbird where it works flawlessly. Other mail accounts from the same server work great with Outlook installations on other computers.
What else can I do?
