Hi,
after my Outlook.com mailbox migrated and I was forced by the Outlook 2016 Desktop client to switch from EAS to Exchange, I encounter the following problems:
1. Having the main alias set to a non-outlook.com-address makes Outlook/Outlook.com select a cryptic "Outlook_A1BCD2E3...@..." type of email address for the from field in emails and calendar invitations.
2. Switching in Outlook 2016 Desktop to the from-address of a non-outlook.com connected account or using that "from" as default does not work anymore.
Both used to work fine via EAS.
Is this something that is going to be fixed?
At the moment, the work-around seems to be to configure a separate POP3/SMTP account in Outlook 2016 for the connected account, but especially when using the Outlook.com calendar in Outlook 2016, this is somewhat clumsy.
Cheers,
Ville
