Maximum No of fields in office 365 lists

Hi All,

I am working for a client who requires to create more than 600 fields in a list. While creating these fields after 444 fields created I found error message that the maximum no of column limit is exceeded and we cannot add more columns.

Can someone please suggest me a way to overcome from this issue. because in SharePoint 2013 this limit is too high we can add more than 1000 fields then why it is not allowed to O365.
