Windows update 0x80070005 - Need a fix?

I have Vista Home premium SP2. I had to reinstall windows on  a new hard drive. When I check for windows update the system continuew to check and does not seem to stop for hours. I ran Microsoft fixit and got 0x80070005.

I ran accesskchk as suggest on another thresd and got the following.
