So to simply to put it Media Streaming in Windows Media Player 11 is not working when actually turned on as the devices do not load any of the content, all devices on the network. Media Streaming has to be turned on every time the computer is turned on as it gets turned off in restart.
The day I noticed the issue there were items in the library that were removed several months earlier: Months prior: Folder containing said files via windows was moved to another non shared folder in the same drive, it still showed the files in WMP but via
the new location, deleted the files from the library. Day problem started I deleted the files from the library also, thought nothing of it.
Settings and fixes tried but doesn't work.
Services.msc - Windows Media Player Network Sharing Service - If media sharing is turned on it will show Startup Type as Automatic (Delayed Start), if I change it to Just Automatic like various help topics have said It then Turns off Media Sharing, Turning
it back on changes it back to Automatic (Delayed Start). Reproduce-able on demand.... (Tried before and after full reinstall of windows)
Network and Sharing Advanced sharing settings - All Networks - Media streaming On Tried changing the name of shared library, customize changed it from use default to make all of media available. (Tried before and after full reinstall of windows)
Clearing System DROM folder
Clearing User App Local Data for Media Player
UAC - User Account Control was turned off prior to any of this and has remained off. I tried enabling it for the Services Media Sharing Test later mentioned and had no affect.
WMP Configuration Tool (Run as Admin) finds a configuration issue, fixes the issue and will Allow Services - Windows Media Sharing to show Automatic and Media Streaming Enabled at same time. Once restart happens problem resumes and Media Streaming has been Disabled. (Tried before and after full reinstall of windows)
WMP Library Tool - finds an issue and fixes it only to not fix the problem at hand. (Tried before and after full reinstall of windows)
Moving the location of the Library added files
Windows App Clear / User Data Save Restore
Windows FULL WIPE REINSTALL
I'm open to any ideas guys and gals on how to get it working again. Thanks in advance for the help.
