Currently running Windows 7 and decided to run Windows 10 upgrade. ...................... I just noticed Windows 7 is also running Windows update. I am quite sure they are not running simultaneously by design. Before I even began the Windows 10 upgrade I saw the Windows 7 update showed updates available. About 20 minutes in to the Windows 10 upgrade, I see the Windows 10 download is @ 32% but also see the Windows 7 update meter was @ 43% and downloading. These are not supposed to vbe simulataneously downloading and I am pretty sure of this because I let this happen once before and the combination of a Windows 7 update session is going to try installing once downloading is finished and Windows 10 upgrade will also try to do the same. It caused a big screw up when I allowed the m both to run on a previous machine and I had to wipe my drive, reinstall 7, do updates, then, install 10 upgrade. Maybe this is not the way to do it based on MS protocols but this situations needs to be clarified and acknowledged but it is not in any MS forum or message base that I could find.
Please, some feedback would be helpful as I am not liking the idea of repeating the Win 10 download if WIn 7 updates take precedent and nullify the time I spent downloading the Windows 10 upgrade. This really is a botched install waiting to happen
