Hi and thank you for your time.
My sister upgraded her PC from windows 8 to windows 10. No problems until they started receiving popups about lost drivers or losing drivers and then the pc would not boot. They found an option using the f keys to fix the OS with out losing files.
If it reinstalls Windows 8(original OS) can she upgrade again? Or can I use media(flash drive) that I created to reinstall windows 10 as the upgrade.
I will look for her OEM product key when I see her if needed.
DONE Could not boot the computer and the usb drives did not appear to function. We were forced to recovery (F 11) to 8.1
Still had problems with lock up after log on and keeping monitor on. After many restarts we were able to log on. I went straight to device manager and received an update for graphics. During this time a pop up said thatwindows update was not configured to receive driver updates? After the graphics driver was updated the computer seems to be fine. Windows 10 was installed(upgraded) when I left.
Very difficult to work on without a screen
