Hi,
I have been encountering several PC crashes recently. The exact same happened a few months ago and they have now come back.
The Problem:
Basically I will be playing a game or watching a video and suddenly the screen turns white/blue'ish and it makes the whole computer crash/freeze.
I will then proceed to boot up my PC again, but when I do, the monitor will have red vertical lines on it. If I start Windows normally, I will get a black screen and nothing happens, which ends with me having to turn off PC again. I will then boot up my PC once more and the red lines are still there.
BUT if I start Windows in SAFE MODE I will be able to get to my desktop (still with red lines, though they sometimes move around).
When I am in SAFE MODE I can then restart my PC, and everything will work perfectly normal.
This fixes the problem for anywhere between 5 minutes and 1 month.
Basically every time I get a crash, I can start in SAFE MODE and restart and will be able to do whatever.
I have been surfing around on Google to find possible fixes, but I haven't found anything similar to my problem.
System Information:
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
i5-3570 CPU @ 3.40GHz
16GB RAM
AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
Thank you in advance!
