Hi All,

I am trying to enable the filestreaming feature on SQL Server 2008 R2 i have, but nothing seems to work, i tried this on all SQL Servers we have, either RTM, SP2 or SP3, and i get the following error always

\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\RsFx0150\<localmachine>\RBS: Cannot verify that the folder exists. Illegal characters in path.

or

\\?\GLOBALROOT\Device\RsFx0153\<localmachine>\RBS: Cannot verify that the folder exists. Illegal characters in path.

i tried most of solutions given in the internet, i tried to enable it using command line, but nothing seems to work.

i even tried to install SQL Server 2008 R2 and enable the filestreaming while installation, and the same issue

have any of you faced the same issue and got an answer, is it a bug in SQL Server 2008 R2 because when i try it on SQL Server 2012 it works fine

my windows is

Windows Server 2008 R2 DataCenter

your help is highly appreciated.
