I Started receiving this message in (Windows 7), Internet Explorer (version 10) in Jan, 2016 after the 12th & before the 26th:
Time to upgrade your browser
Support for older versions of Internet Explorer ended on January 12, 2016. To be more secure and enhance your browser experience, upgrade to Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7.|_| I would also like Bing and MSN defaults
So then I googled IE 11 to see if it was a good idea to update & everything I saw indicated: YES.
Then I clicked on 'Get it now' in the purple push button / box.
(I left: 'I would also like Bing and MSN defaults' checkbox checked.)
Then I was asked if I wanted to run or save the download file. I clicked RUN.
The download started & when it finished I received the following (error) message:
"The signature of E1E11_EN-US_WOL_WIN764.EXE is corrupt or invalid."
along with a button to click 'Delete' & a link to click which says 'Learn more' (no help).
It does not give me an option to accept the file.
Then I received a message from Norton File Insight saying this file is safe & has a
trusted rating. When I repeat the download I get the same thing. So I don't see how to get the
download / update for IE 11 & install it. Please help.
