My Rescue Media
Can I use my Win 10 Rescue media (flash drive) to locate my admin passwordthat I must have created when I set up Windows 10 the last time? I have lost that password and I'm told that Microsoft cannot help with my Win 10 Admin password.
I tried to do a "Restore" but it keeps failing and I keep getting an error message. Then somewhere on line I learned that I should boot up in the "Safe Mode" to try the "Restore Function" but as I am going through the process of of opening in the Safe Mode, I am asked for my Admin Password. I lost every record of that in a mishap. Today, I ran across a thumb-drive with my WIN 10 Rescue Info on it. If I reboot with the Rescue media, will I be able to locate my password or find the reason for my problem of not being able to Restore to another earlier date.

Reverting to Local account after re-activation with Microsoft Account
Is it possible to revert back to using a Local account after a re-activation with a Microsoft Account after a hardware change?
The reason why I'm asking is I'm planning on switching mobo/cpu, which would mean Windows 10 would need to be reactivated. Linking the license to a Microsoft account seems like the simplest (and probably only???) solution, but I would like to only use a local account, not a full Microsoft one, for the main windows user.
Will the activation disappear again if I revert to a Local Account? Maybe I can have two users, a Local for everyday use and a Microsoft one just for license activation?
I have a Windows 10 Pro N upgraded from a Windows 8.1 Pro N key.

Save freezes and I can do nothing except closing Word and lose my data
I don't have time to say much coz' I am so frustrated right now.
I was trying to save, but after the save progress bar ends, a "Save As" window pops up and prompts me for a save location - I have been saving this to the same location all the time and I see no point for asking me for a new save location. I click "save", and it keeps prompting me to save elsewhere. So, I save my file with a new name, this time, the save progress bar freezes at 0%!!! I click the "Cross" beside the bar but cannot halt the save. Now I can do nothing except closing down Word. And after I reopen my documents, all my edits were lost!
This is not the first time happening but this time I lost more data than usual... And I think I need to ask for opinions here to avoid the same thing happening again.
I am not sure if the followings might be relevant:
- I am saving the document directly under a cloud sync directory (Google Drive)
- This happens more frequently if I am working on a big file
- This happens more frequently if I scroll (or, though not necessarily, editing) while save is in progress
However, I am not convinced that the state-of-the-art text-processing software should be bound by these situations.

Excel 2016 spreadsheet opens but only appears on the desktop showing task bar. In other words, can't see the spreadsheet itself.
A previously created (and saved) Excel 2016 spreadsheet opens but only the task bar shows on the desktop. This has happened before but usually when I click on the task bar, the whole spreadsheet opens. However, this time it won't open.

Change Editor Name
Hi,
I'm an Editor and would like to edit while away using my iPad. The problem is, I can't have my name appearing as the Editor. I must be anonymous and change it to "Editor #xx". It is set up and works fine on my Mac, but this does not automatically transfer to my iPad. How do I enter in a stable fashion my editor name? Thanks!

Outlook Anhang öffnen, MIT Nachfrage/Popup " öffnen/speichern" kommt nicht, hätte es aber gerne
Hallo,
Ich habe folgende Frage,
Wie kann man in Outlook 2016 (auf Windows 8.1 Pro ) die Sicherheitsfrage aktivieren.
Wenn ich Email Anhänge (unabhängig) welcher Dateityp öffne, möchte ich dass Outlook nachfrägt öffnen oder speichern.
Dieses Fenster kommt leider nicht bei mir. (Von Anfang an nicht).
Manche Personen sind froh das es weg ist, ich aber vermisse es da.

Office 365 Business
somit eine Exchange Emailadressse, diese auch in Outlook eingebunden ist.
Wenn ich ein Anhang öffne, wird ohne nachfrage, direkt das entsprechende Programm (z.B. Adobe Reader DC, Word,Excel etc.)
Es würde mich freuen, wenn einer mir sagen kann,
wie ich die NAchfrage wieder bekomme

Groove Música en el apartado 'Reproducción en curso' ahora tiene una configuración que no me gusta y no sé cambiarlo.
Desde que he actualizado Windows 10 a la versión 'Creators Update' en el apartado 'Reproducción en curso' de Groove Música el fondo es una foto del artista (En algunas canciones) en vez de la caratula del álbum, quiero que se vea como antes pero no sé
como hacerlo. ¿Alguien me puede ayudar? Gracias.

problemas con el inicio de windows 10
buenas, mi nombre es Cinthia y necesito ayuda con mi windows 10. Ayer prendi mi computadora como normalmente lo hago, le realice una limpieza del arranque con mi antivirus Avast, luego volvi a prenderla y funicionaba todo bien. Luego se suspendio dado que solo estaba leyendo un archivo y desde entonces no puedo volver a prenderla.
Lei estos foros, e intente hacer lo que a algunos usuarios les funciono. Pero nada. Cada vez mi computadora esta peor, dado que al principio solo le faltaba mi imagen y la ventana en donde yo debia escribir mi contraseña pero ahora solo veo una pantalla negra.
En mi desesperacion, intente reinstalarlo de nuevo, pero al solicitarme el codigo de activacion, no me acepta el que tengo. Yo adquiri windows 10 el año pasado en Noviembre u Octubre. No entiendo porque no me acepta mi codigo.
Por favor, necesito ayuda, mi computadora es mi herramienta de trabajo y temo perder todos mis documentos.

Skype not installing on windows 10
I was having some issue updating skype so I decided to uninstall and reinstall it. When I tried to reinstall skype I simply got"skype is installing" for half an hour before I restarted my laptop, cleared the registry and tried again, it's doing precisely
the same thing. I've looked at other posts on here and thus far none of the olutions have worked, any help to solve this issue?

Windows 10, problema Ripristino configurazione di sistema.
Gentile community, scrivo questo post per cercare aiuto riguardo un problema che mi affligge fin dall'uscita di Windows 10.
Puntualmente dopo alcuni mesi dall'installazione del sistema, il ripristino configurazione di sistema smette di funzionare rendendomi quasi impossibile installare le applicazioni o disinstallarle.
Ho provato a:
- Reimpostare da 0 il sistema mediante la funzionalità apposita di ripristino;
- Effettuare un'installazione pulita del sistema.
- Seguire le guide varie di questo helpdesk, come ad esempio quelle del Sign. Leuzzi (spero di non sbagliare il cognome);
- Controllare errori nel Registro, sia manualmente, sia tramite CCleaner o Wise Registry Cleaner;
- Effettuare scansioni e pulizia di tutto il sistema con AdwCleaner, Rkill, Junkware Removal Tool, lo strumento di rimozione Rootkit dei laboratori Kaspersky (tutti con privilegi d'amministratore attivi e antivirus disattivo);
- Scansionare con AVG (in passato)e con Avira (versioni free);
- Scansionare con Malwarebytes Antimalware e con il Windows Defender;
- Disabilitare antivirus e ZoneAlarm Free Firewall;
- Riparare manualmente il Ripristino Configurazione di Sistema, rimpiazzando mediante Linux le DLL di questa funzionalità con DLL di un sistema con Win 10 appena installato e Aggiornato alla stessa versione di questo pc.
- Controllatore le impostazioni dei singoli servizii collegati direttamente al Ripristino Configurazione di Sistema e dei servizi attivati e utilizzati da essi;
- Disinstallare uno alla volta i programmi dal PC;
- Effettuare scansioni antivirus pianificate all'avvio del sistema;
- Continuare ad utilizzare il pc pur mantenendo il problema, per qualche mese;
- Aggiornare tutti i driver del sistema;
- Eliminare e ricreare il file di paging;
- Disattivare e riattivare il Ripristino Configurazione di Sistema.
Nulla di tutto ciò ha funzionato.
L'unica cosa che ha funzionato...seppur temporaneamente è stato utilizzare il ripristino configurazione di sistema prima dell'avvio del windows (nei casi in cui funzionava), tuttavia dopo il ripristino effettuato, il pc è tornato a ripresentare questo problema
nel giro di qualche mese...
Questa è l'unica anomalia che presenta il sistema, il resto funziona benissimo.
Nel dettaglio, la gran parte delle volte ottendo l'errore: Timeout durante la creazione di una copia di volume shadow. Riprovare. (0x81000101)
Questo è il problema principale che si verifica da sempre, pur essendo il servizio, attivo e configurato completamente...
Non riesco a capire cos'è che lo blocca e non so come determinarlo.
Sporadicamente mi è capitato di andare nella schermata "Protezione Sistema" e notare che il pc rimanesse perennemente fermo sul controllo delle unità con il Ripristino Configurazione di Sistema attivo nella tabella "Impostazioni di protezione".
Sono esausto....non so più cosa provare...cosa fare...
In media il problema si è verificato dopo circa 3 mesi dall'installazione, qualche volta prima...qualche volta dopo più tempo.
La configurazione hardware è la seguente:
Core I7 2600K
Corsair Vengeange 2133 2x4GB
AsRock Z77 Extreme 6
Samsung Evo 850 da 250GB (Usato per il sistema e spesso con pochi giga liberi).
2 HDD Sata 2 (1 Seagate e 1 WD Green)
Creative SoundBlaster zX
Asus GeForce GTX 1070 STRIX OC
Il Sistema è Windows 10 Pro x64 (Licenza Digitale), con UEFI attivo e se non erro partizionamento in GPT.

GIMP
Based on a newspaper article by Kim Komando, I tried to download GIMP, which she claimed was a great, free photo editing app. Firefox wouldn't even let me download it. I tried Edge and Kaspersky went berserk and prevented it from opening. In the process,
Gimp somehow got my email address, so I get friendly email from them, but if I try to reply, I get a message that the address doesn't exist. Does anyone know anything about GIMP?
