We liv ein France so are happy with eirher English or French versions of software. Have been using an Englsih version of Outlook 2013 for the last few years. Have just boughtnew main PC (Dell) which arrived with Office 365 Famille included. Have just completed installation, including installation of Office 365 (French version) for different users and for another desktop and laptop. All seemed OK until I realised that the original PC's Outlook was now in French rather than English (not in itself a problem BUT the 'carnet d'adresses' was EMPTY!. Odd, but no problem I thought, because I had backed up the old address book as a .pst file so I setabout importimng it. The import seemed to go OK but there was still nothing in the 'carnet d'adresses'. When I tried to export it again, I saw that it had created a 'Contacts (this computer only)' in addition to the empty 'Contacts (seulement cet ordinateur')' file! After tryingseveral times without success, I returned to the Office 365 screen and noticed that although it was set up to install the French version, it appeared to offer the option underneath to select an alternative version, so I set about going through the install again on all three PCs, this time of the English version. Although it appeared to go through the entire re-install, taking a good 20 minutes on each system, the result was still the French version! So I am wondering how I can get the French version to recognise the adress book backup from an Engish version.
And - have just realised this may also apply to my Archive files from the English version of Outlook 2013 - that would be even more serious - I'm going to check that right now while I leave you with the address book question.
Thanks in advance for guidance.
