Black screen

I have a laptop with the dreaded black screen. The first problem i noticed was the bottom task bar was not responding. After a while all i got was a black screen. I can access the bios but can't get into safe mode. I have tried all the options on the recovery disk apart from a reinstall ( i want to keep my files ). Any help would be greatly appreciated as i an not technically minded and can't afford to take it to a shop for repair.

Folders with weird names

Hello everyone,

Since few days I've seen a weird thing happening on one of my two hard disks..Some empty folders with short names create by themselves along with a file called index.dat

Why is this happening?

I put also an image to explain myself better

Da alcuni giorni ho notato che su uno dei due hard disk all'interno del mio pc si creano da sole alcune cartelle vuote con nomi strani insieme al file index.dat

Come faccio ad evitare che si creino? E perchè si creano?

I keep getting prompts to restart my computer to install two windows updates KB982726 and KB3115475. The updates download and install successfully, but then keep popping up in the Windows Update to install again. I checked and both of these updates are for Office 2010. The only version of Office running on the machine is O365 Pro Plus. When I try to install the updates manually I get the error that there are no products affected by this package installed on this system. How do I stop these updates from popping up in the Windows Update

Can anyone provide me more info or articles on Microsoft Online Services Sign-In Assistant?

As I want my users to sign in only one time after password change.

Buenas tardes, tengo un pequrño problema, desde hace varios días windows update me pide que instale la actualización de Service Pack 1 (SP1) de Microsoft Office 2013, yo le doy a ok, pero nunca la llega a instalar ya que me da codigo de error 780.

Por mas que he buscado no encuentro este codigo de error.

¿Alguien podria echarme una mano?

Por error he desactivado en mi ordenador el programa windows defender preestablecido. Quien o como puedo activarlo de nuevo, toda vez que el ordenador me dice que eso me lo tiene que activar la directiva de Windows?

Olá gostaria de saber como habilitar o filtro comum no modo de segurança, o filtro avançado deixa a pesquisa muito restrita e o comum da uma maior escolha de dados para fazer a eliminação de dados incompatíveis. O estilo de filtro que quero usar em modo de segurança está destacado na caixa em vermelho da imagem. Obrigado

I have a string of unicode characters that aren't displayed properly in Microsoft Edge. It is however, displayed correctly in IE11 and every other browser so I'm thinking this might be a specific problem with Edge.

Here's how it shows up in a browser that's not Edge:

I've installed the Korean Language pack, and even switched the font to Arial Unicode MS, but it still doesn't display correctly in Edge.

После установки указанных обновлений все приложения Офиса падают с критической ошибкой. Например, "Word - произошла серьезная ошибка во время последнего запуска. Запуск Word в безопасном режиме поможет исправить или определить неполадки, чтобы успешно запустить программу. Некоторые функции в этом режиме могут быть отключены.
Запустить Word в безопасном режиме?

Запуск приложений в безопасном режиме, восстановление офиса результата не принесли - проблема с запуском приложений осталась. Настройка офиса с добавлением\удалением компонентов проходит успешно, ошибка остаётся.

Помогает только удаление этих обновлений. Декабрьское 2016-го года обновление kb3118380 беспроблемное.

Система - Windows Server 2003 SP2 Rus 32-битная.

Стоит ожидать исправление проблемы в последующих обновлениях?

Hi there,

My system drive space shrinks every time after a Windows update is performed. For example, my system drive Disk C had 13 GB available 15 days ago, and after 10 days, only 1 GB of the free space. I never installed any single program to the system drive during the 15 days.

Today I managed to free up 1.5 GB space of my system drive, by moving the system document folder to another hard drive. And Windows Update reboots my computer, this time I noticed that 1.2 GB space of system drive has been used for no reason.

What even funny is when the system drive uses up space. windows updates will no longer installed. So I can neither save my system drive space nor keep my PC updated.

I know there is an option in Disk Cleanup tool helps you clean the outdated windows update files, it was called "Windows Update Cleanup" in Windows 7, but I never found that option of disk cleanup tool in Windows 10 since I upgraded from Windows 7.

Trouble Shooting tool is USELESS. Please do not post the answer suggesting troubleshooting tool. I never resolve any problem using it.

Please tell me how to stop this issue, thank you for your assistance.

hola, desde la instalacion automatica por el parche de seguridad del sabado perdi la capacidad de mi lumia 640 de reconfigurar mis tonos para aviso de mail o alarmas, tampoco funciona el preview por asi decirlo de los tonos EJ

configuro una alarma con una musica y aparece otra

configuro el mail de hotmail con musica y notificaciones cuando llega un mail y ya no suena

tengo la version de windows mobile 10, reitero el problema empezo cuando me avisaron ustedes de una actualizacion importante para evitar los problemas de hackeo mundial, ademas se instalo Cortana

Necesito saber como o cuando puedo recuperar las acciones de sonido en el telefono, en especial para aviso de recibo de mail. gracias. (por los comentarios en el telefono le esta pasando a muchas personas. Si necesitan mas datos por favor contactenme gracias

Muy buenas.

Tengo un problema con la conexión de los auriculares con micrófono integrado. Mi portátil tiene solo una entrada de Jack y mis auriculares disponen de dos. He conectado un adaptador para solucionar mi problema de la manera más eficiente, y ahora resulta que mi portátil no reconoce que llevan un micrófono integrado. Directamente, apaga el micrófono, dejándome escuchar pero no hablar.

Tengo un Asus F550CA-XX798H, con Windows 10 Home.

Espero que me puedan ayudar. Muchas gracias.

PD: Lo pongo en este tema ya que no sé clasificarlo correctamente y he pensado que puede ser un fallo de mi controlador de audio. Espero no pifiarla mucho. Gracias.

Saludos en diversas ocaciones he intentado actualiizar a la version mas actualizada de windows 10 (Creators update) lo que no me es permitido gracias a un error muy molesto... ya que espera que se descargue y gaste mas de 4 GB de mi internet para luego decir que no es posible continuar por un error.

Hola buen días, tengo un problema con outlook 2016, arriba del listado de correos existia una barra que me indicaba los correos leidos, no leidos y menciones, solo que esa barra desparecio y no se como activarla de nuevo ¿Podrían ayudarme por favor?
