I purchased a Surface Pro 3 in March of 2015, 2 weeks later I had a two inch dead strip across the top that would not register touch.
I was given a replacement, which within just a week had the same problem, I returned it again, and within a few weeks that one was having the problem as well.
I returned that unit and within a month the new one started doing it as well. I started noticing after spending nearly 4 hours per week in the Microsoft store setting up and installing all of my work required apps over and over again on each new unit that there
was a constant revolving door of users returning and having their units replaced for the exact same issue.
So of course I was not surprised at all to find the entire internet posting about this issue from just about every corner of tech.
I'm now on my 17th device, and of course this one has the same issue, I'm way past my warranty of course, and feel I've spent more time setting up my surface pro's in the last 3 years than actually working on them.
My question is first, why did Microsoft refuse to acknowledge this as an issue and force it's customers to spend hours and days trying pointless things? And second, why would you sell me a device that you knew would fail over and over and not offer an exchange
policy only a replacement?
I am extremely disappointed in this company and the quality of their equipment, and would like Microsoft to finally acknowledge what they have done to their customers with these devices.

Tab key not tabbing in Powerpoint
I am using MS365 PowerPoint 2013 and somehow the way the Tab key works has changed on me. In PowerPoint, the Tab key no longer advances to the next tab stop, and in a table it no longer advances to the next cell, or if at the end of a table it does not
add a new row. The Tab key seems to only increase the list level of the text. In a table in PowerPoint, Control-Tab advances the cursor to the next Tab stop. The Tab key seems to work just fine in Excel and in Word. How do I get the Tab key to go back to working
the way it is supposed to? Thanks.

Multiple Excel Files in Continuum
Is there anyway to open more then one excel file in continuum. It's so annoying only being able to have one excel file going and opening and closing files to copy data back and forth. Excel online also likes to crash in the web browser if you trying
and have to excels open and switch between the tabs to much.

Excel Saving Unicode CSV
Using Excel 2016 I'm attempting to save a spreadsheet containing regular characters and Chinese characters as a CSV. The result is that the Chinese characters are rendered as question marks (ie 锡焊母端子 => ??????????). I'm familiar with the old trick of saving as a Unicode text file, opening in notepad, replacing the tabs with commas and saving. I've also tried saving it in various formats via the 'web options' and the results are always the same.
I need to be able to save it correctly as a CSV directly from excel. Is this possible?

separating a forwarded account
I originally had a Hotmail account, later added a separate Outlook account and set the new account to forward to the Hotmail account when a message came in to have all messages in one inbox. Now I have found this was a mistake because if I reply to a message that came into the Outlook address, is shows sent from Hotmail; not good because Outlook is a business account and Hotmail personal.
I need to separate the accounts, but cannot unforward. If I log into Outlook to access the options, I immediately get transferred to the Hotmail address. The Outlook will not hold so that I can access the profile/account settings for Outlook. !!!
Running Windows 10.
Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Ho un Lumia 640 LTE, lo butto?
Il mio lumia 640 lte:
- ha una memoria interna di 7,28 giga, di cui quasi 5 occupati da programmi che non posso disinstallare (tra l'altro spiegatemi la ratio degli aggiornamenti del sistema operativo: li fate sempre più pesanti così siamo costretti a cambiar telefono? Non avete neanche pensato a doverli fare sempre più prestanti ma sempre meno pesanti? Mah!), pertanto è costantemente impallato e mi chiede in continuazione di spostare le app dalla memoria del tel alla micro sd, cosa che non posso fare (tra l'altro FB e instagram non possono essere installati su scheda di memoria esterna, quindi, pur volendo...);
- ha una app di navigazione Mappe, che ha funzionato credo due volte, ora è morta e non posso disinstallarla lo stesso;
- lo devo riavviare almeno tre volte al giorno;
- quando ho FB aperto ad un certo punto si chiude e appare la fantomatica scritta: "sto registrando", cosa? non si sa!;
- quando scatto più di tre fotografie si blocca la fotocamera ed appare la scritta: "salvataggio in corso", il mio, ma non succede mai! Quindi spengo e riaccendo, faccio altre tre foto, spengo e riaccendo, insomma fare foto è un calvario;
- quando lo spengo, non si spegne, devo staccare la batteria...
Mi sembra sufficiente per dire che è un prodotto di pura m...da!
Qualcuno ha una esperienza simile da condividere?

Different Fonts in Outlook 2016 on different PCs
How come some people have different fonts listed in Outlook 2016? We have some people missing consolas font for incoming plain text emails sent from Office 2007. They are showing as strange characters instead of the actual letters so the emails can't
be read. Some people with Outlook 2016 can read them and some cannot. The ones that cannot, don't have the consolas font option for incoming plain text emails. How do we get that back for people that don't have it as an option? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Excel 2016 Crashes when printing to Sharp Copier
Every time I try to print to the Sharp copier from my Excel 2016 it crashes. It will print fine from Word but it won't print from Excel. I have tried updating the drivers, repairing the install, and nothing seems to be working.

Missing contacts in Mail system, but showing in People
I just ran the major Windows 10 upgrade and some things are not working the same in Outlook. My contacts show up when I look at the people tab, but when I try to choose them for TO/CC/BCC, the address books are empty. Everything was fine before this.

Not able to retrieve email account
Has anyone had a problem like when your laptop or desk top has gone down and can't retrieve your hotmail account because you can't remember the last 2 persons or subjects that you emailed? I really need to know because I am really frustrated about this.
I have had this one account for 19 years and they still won't help me get back into it without these answers.

Buongiorno, come da oggetto alla voce Aggiornamenti e versioni di anteprima in sospeso mi trovo 1.35 GB di file temporanei frutto di un'installazione dell'aggiornamento 10.0.15063.297 non andato a buon fine per mancanza di spazio, quindi ora come ora il telefono non è aggiornato, ho eliminato tutto l'eliminabile ma attualmente mancano ancora 700 MB di spazio per procedere con l'aggiornamento.
Come posso baypassare questo problema non avendo più nulla da rimuovere dal telefono per liberare memoria?
Faccio presente che ho già una scheda SD dove ho spostato tutto e che gli unici file che ancora rimangono non sono nè spostabili nè eliminabili. Dovrò rimanere a vita senza aggiornamenti e con 1.35 GB di memoria intasati da file temporanei?

Fonction F5
Bonjour,
Mon garçon a joué avec l'ordinateur et depuis, je ne peux plus utiliser le tapis touch pad, je ne peux déplacer le curseur qu'à l'aide d'une souris. L'icône de la fonction F5 est allumé, mais rien à faire, j'ai éteint l'ordi, cela ne veut pas débloquer, c'est comme si la fonction F5 est figée. Comment puis-je la débloquer?Merci!

Can I hide appointment details from myself?
I know I can hide "Private appointment" details from my coworkers in a shared calendar, with permissions.
The thing is, I would also like to hide the details in my own calendar since sometimes I have meetings in my office and I wouldn’t like others to see my Private appointments in my computer's screen. I am aware of the "filters" command in the view's settings but I need to keep the appointment visible, so that is not an option since it completely hides the appointment. I just want it to show as it does in my coworkers screen (Only shows "Private appointment" text)
Is that even possible?

Trabajo en el área de soporte tecnologíco y recientemente ( Miércoles 17/05/2017) actualizamos todos los equipos con W10 para prevenir la amenaza del Ransomware, pero encuentro que varios equipos de mi organización al iniciarlos desde el día Lunes 22 del mismo mes, al encenderlos la pantalla se queda en negro y me permite utilizar el mouse.
Intente bootear con W10 y escoger la opción de reparar el inicio de Windows pero esta herramienta no me soluciona el problema.

MS Word stops working after saving file to specific local folder
Hi,
This just happened suddenly. I wasn't able to save a document to a folder I used to open and save documents regularly, without any issues. Now, whenever I try to do this, Word just stops working and attempts to save the file for recovery as if it wasn't saved.
I've gone to safe mode and the issue persists; when I try to open the folder, Word stops working. I have to force close it through the task manager.
Any help is appreciated!
