Last night I decided it was time to do a reset of my computer since it had been running slowly. I selected the first of the two reset options: the one that deletes all files and resets all settings. The other option was to clear
the drive for recycling which I decided against. I let it do its thing overnight, but when I checked it in the morning it said that some files couldn't be deleted, and that it recommended another reset. After selecting ok, it brought me to a bluescreen that
said:
Your PC/Device needs to be repaired
The operating system could not be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors.
File: storport.sys
Error code: 0xc0000221
You'll need to use recovery tools. If you don't have any installation media, contact your PC administrator or Device manufacturer.
Press enter to try again (doesn't work)
Press F8 for startup settings (nothing useful)
Press Esc for UEFI Firmware settings (nothing useful)
Press F9 to use a different operating system (I don't but I tried it just in case and it didn't work)
My computer is a Toshiba Satellite S55-A5335 running Windows 10. The primary objective would be being able to start my computer. I don't need anything recovered; in fact, I would prefer an option that resets as much as possible.
I have everything I need on an external hard drive.
