Hello,
I just reformatted my PC (brand new install of Windows 10 pro, release 1703.
I also installed Office from my enterprise Office365 account : Office 365 proPlus (which gives me all office 2016 products), version 1609.
We use SharePoint online to store documents. Some libraries exceed the 5000 files limit.
Within MS Edge, I go to SharePoint, I click on SYNC. A popup asks me if I agree to use OneDrive enterprise to sync the file. If I agree, it loads the old OneDrive client (groove.exe) and syncs the Library if it is small enough. It fails on big libraries telling there are too many files.
Manually, I can launch the new OneDrive client (version 2016, build 17.3.6799.0327) which syncs my personnal files.
I am unable to use the new OneDrive client to sync my SharePoint libraries. I cannot add the URL diretly within the client.
I tried to remove the groove.exe (Nothing happens when I click on SYNC within SharePoint).
I tried to replace the groove.exe with the OneDrive.exe and rename it (Nothing happens either).
I am stuck.
Can you help ?
---- edit ----
Well, I searched and tried and finally solved it.
I synced a Library with the old groove.exe.
I rebooted.
I stopped groove.exe.
Launched OneDrive.exe /takeover command
rebooted again.
back to SharePoint, click on sync, and finally, the popup proposed to open OneDrive, and not OneDrive enterpise. Yeah !!!
but groove.exe is still on the disk, I read it should disapear at the next reboot... we'll see.
