OneDrive for Business Questions
I'm not the most technical, so please be patient. In a nutshell, we're migrating from Office 2010 to Office 2013 by way of O365. The Office upgrade itself has produced zero issues that we know of. However, the OneDrive setup/config has proven to be a bit of a learning curve.
Info on our environment:
New builds have Windows 10. Existing builds have Windows 7.
Office 2013 with O365
OneDrive is Version 2016 (Build 17.3.6764.0111)
We're using OneDrive - <yourcompany> and NOT OneDrive for Business.
I have a slew of questions, but here are the most pressing:
1) After logging into outlook.office.com and downloading Office 2013, everything seemingly works except for OneDrive. The first four laptops I built had a OD option on the left in Windows Explorer that I could click on and log into. The last four (built the exact same way) do have a OD option - but I can't log in or anything. It doesn't state OneDrive for Business; it just states OneDrive. Somehow, I've managed to get a prompt in Windows Explorer at the top that asks me if I want to log in to OD. Only THEN does it work. There's no rhyme or reason - it just pops up when it wants to (it seems). My question is how can I force that or manually log into OneDrive?
Maybe I misunderstood how OD works, but I thought you selected the files/folders you wanted to sync and it synced with no issues. And maybe we went about it the wrong way. I opened Windows Explorer and dragged Desktop, Documents and Favorites to my OD instance (once it showed up). I then ensured those folders were selected to sync. This leads me to my next three questions:
2) Some files did not sync due to the naming convention. A user had labeled something with a #, which is not allowed. I located those files, removed the #, and have waited three days now with no results. The renamed file still exists on the Desktop, and the originally named file with the # still exists in OD. Should this sync from the Desktop to OD?
3) How often does it sync and can it be changed? I would think within minutes if not instantly, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
4) I have seen an app or link that the user can run and export the issues to a spreadsheet. Is this widely known and, if so, available for download? To be more specific, IT at another company emailed a link to the users. The users ran the link or script, and if anything (name, size, etc.) didn't fit MS's criteria, it would output to a spreadsheet so that the user could rename the files accordingly PRIOR to the migration to OD. I'd sure like to get my hands on something like this again if possible.
And then my last question (for now):
5) Is OD set to sync one way - i.e., from the PC to OD - or can it by set to do two ways? I can expand on this more soon, but for now I'm trying to figure out how to migrate remote users and when. The answer to this should help.

Form-Fill Question
Hi there! I have created a 92-page document that has hundreds of form-fill fields to complete. I know there is a way to set the fields that share the same information to auto-fill once my client completes the first field that requires that information, but I can't remember (or more likely, probably never knew) how to do it.
For example, one of the fields is "Name of Company." There are probably 100 of those throughout the document. How do I set those to auto-fill after our client completes the first field with that text?

Migrating or cloning Windows 7 64bit to new SSD results in SSD not booting?

I am trying to migrate or clone my old system hard drive on to a brand new Samsung 850 EVO 250 GB SSD but after the cloning process the SSD will not boot or if it does get to the desktop it is extremely slow and the mouse and keyboard do not work and I am
unable to open any programs.
I have also tried to do the same onto a Brand New Samsung 850 EVO 500 GB SSD just in case the 250 one was too small or faulty but experienced exactly the same results.
The cloning software I have tried so far is:
Acronis True Image 2017 (fully licensed paid for version)
Samsung Migration
Macrium Reflect Free
My system runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit SP 1.
My old system HD (the source drive) is 500 GB
I tried the process with all three programs in case one was not able to do it but another was and again got exactly the same results which to me seems to indicate the problem is with the EVO SSD's but I maybe wrong.
Just to make sure that my source drive is clone-able I then tried using all three programs to clone to two spare standard HD's, one a 250 GB nd the other a 500 GB and the all 3 programs cloned perfectly.
When I booted the standard drives after cloning windows booted in around 5 seconds and all of my software and product licenses had been correctly copied and were working as they should - so, to me, there is no problem with the source drive.
I will put a lot of detail here so that you know what I have tried so far and how I did it.
Here is how I performed the backup.
1. Installed the new SSD inside my computer and then opened Computer Manager>Disc Manager
2. From with Disc Manager I changed its Partition Style to 'MBR' and then changed the 'unallocated space' to a simple volume.
3. I repeated the above for the USB Hard Drive - so all three drives - the old system drive I want to copy, the USB Hard Drive I am going to store my backup on and the new SSD that I want to restore my backup onto then us as the system disc - are exactly the same formatting and file systems.
4. Using O&O Defrag (I have used this program for years) I did a 'Complete' Defrag of my old system disc before shutting my computer down.
5. Booted to the TI 2017 boot disc and at the Acronis Menu I selected the 64 bit version of TL.
6. From the left menu I selected 'Backup' then from the right hand menu I selected 'Disk and Partition Backup'.
7. On the next screen 'What To Back Up' it showed two Partitions on my system disk:
A. NTFS (unlabeled) (C:) Pri [it shows that it has only 60.9 GB of Used Space]
B. NTFS (System Reserved) (D:) Pri/Act [it shows that it has only 24.14 MB of Used Space].
8. I selected both partitions and clicked next.
9. On the next screen 'Archive Location' I selected 'Create new backup archive' and set the 'Backup Location' as my USB Hard Disk and set a file name.
10. On the next screen 'Finish' I clicked 'Proceed' and left TL to do its job which only took around 8 minutes.
11. Once TL reported the backup was successful and as no images were showing in the list I then selected 'Recovery' from the left hand menu and clicked 'Refresh Backups' from the right hand menu to refresh the list of backup images (to check the backup image was showing).
12. I then right clicked on the backup image and selected 'Validate Archive', on the next screen I selected 'Proceed'.
13. Once TL reported 'The Archive Was Successfully Checked' I shut my computer down - removed the old system disc, move the internal SATA cable for the new SSD over onto the Primary SSD port that the old system disc had previously occupied then rebooted using the TL recovery disk.
14. I selected the 64 bit version of TL and allowed it to finish booting.
15. From the left hand menu I selected 'Recovery'.
16. On the right hand side I then 'right clicked' on the image name in the list and selected 'Recover'.
17. On the next screen 'Recovery Method' I selected 'Recover whole disks and partitions' then clicked next.
18. On the next screen 'What To Recover' it now showed three partitions (there were only two on the one I backed up the image from:
A. NTFS (unlabeled) (C:) Pri [it shows that it has only 60.9 GB of Used Space]
B. NTFS (System Reserved) (D:) Pri/Act [it shows that it has only 24.14 MB of Used Space].
C. MBR and Track 0 (this is the new one that has appeared).
19. I clicked all three and then 'Next'.
20. On the next screen 'Destination of Disk 2' I selected the new SSD and then clicked next.
21. On the next screen I clicked 'Proceed' and a new screen opens which says 'Data Recovery' showing the progress of the operation. At the bottom of this screen I also ticked the check box 'Shut Down The Computer When The Operation Is Completed'
22. Once TL had completed and shut the computer down I removed the TL recovery disc and unplugged the USB Hard Drive that contained the backup image and then booted the computer as normal.
This is when I encountered all of the boot problems.
The drive begins to boot and gets as far as the 'Starting Windows' splash screen and sits there for 2 or 3 minutes before changing to a black screen with a mouse icon where it then freezes. Other times if I leave at this point it will eventually boot to the desktop after 20 minutes or so but the mouse or keyboard will not work although one time the mouse did work but I could not click on anything.
I won't list the steps I took using Macrium Reflect Free as that is fairly straight forward to use and Samsung Migration is even more simple but again using both of these resulted in exactly the same issues booting the SSD.
An MVP on the Acronis forum suggested I create a Win 7 repair disc using my old system drive and then try and repair the MBR on the SSD but after doing so I still have exactly the same problems.
Can anyone suggest anything as from reading various forums other people seem to be able to clone Windows 7 to EVO's with no problem?
If I can supply any further information do let me know.

Outlook 2013
Bei mir lief alles bis heute morgen noch gut. Plötzlich erscheint beim Outlook Icon auf der Taskleiste eine roter Punkt mit weißem Kreuz und Outlook ist offline. Ich habe absolut nichts verändert.
Desktop, Windows 10, Microsoft Home and Business 2013.
Reparatur der App über Windows 10 vollständig durchgeführt. Neustart. Alles ohne Erfolg.
Zugriff auf meine Mailkonten über meinen Laptop (Office 2016) läuft problemlos. Kann das Problem bei Office 2013 liegen? Es wurden keine Einstellungen geändert. Alles lief seit Wochen stabil.

Outlook 2016 Kalender Reconnect: Kann seit der Reconnect-Sache die Kalender meiner Familie nicht mehr mit Outlook 2016 bearbeiten.

letztens kam ja diese Email, dass man sein Outlook-Konto nochmal neu verbinden soll. Habe das getan. Seitdem bekomme ich alle Kalender meiner Familie wie vorher angezeigt, kann aber nur noch meinen persönlichen bearbeiten und die meiner Familie nicht. An den Rechten kann es eigentlich nicht liegen, denn:
Nutze ich das Webinterface für Outlook.com im Edge oder Internet Explorer mit meinem Account, kann ich problemlos auch die Kalender meiner Familie bearbeiten (neue Termine u.ä. anlegen). Es klappt nur nicht mit Outlook 2016.
Da mir ein Supportmitarbeiter im Chat auch nicht helfen konnte, hoffe ich auf die Community!

Resetowanie Windows 10 Education N do ustawień początkowych

Problem polega na błędzie podczas próby przywrócenia systemu do stanu początkowego. W okolicach 35% wyrzuca, że proces zakończył się niepowodzeniem i nie wprowadzono zmian. Nie posiadam dysku instalacyjnego ani żadnego innego punktu przywracania. W narzędziach od Microsoft można stworzyć dysk instalacyjny jedynie z wersjami Windows 10, Windows 10 N i Windows 10 Pro. Platforma, z której pobierałem pierwotnie instalator (uczelnia) jest w trakcie przedłużania subskrypcji, a mi zależy na jak najszybszym zresetowaniu ustawień do stanu początkowego. Jakieś pomysły?
A - podczas skanu sfc wykazało, że niektóre pliki mogą być "corrupted" jednak Windows nie był w stanie ich naprawić.

My login email from years back has been hacked.
I am ok to log into microsoft, but I am no longer able to access the email account that I used to sign up for MS. I changed the email in the "private" section of my profile, but I need to make sure that my account through MS can't be compromised by the hacked email account. Access to that email has broken down, and will no longer be recoverable due to the extenuating circumstances. (the email was sold to Russia a few years back, and there have been translation issues, access issues, and now hacking issues--go figure)
I just need to know if there are any additional steps I can take to protect my precious MS account from that email.

1. I have people's name on column A and there are dates on column D. Can I tell Column A to highlight the cell with people's name when column D is on or before today's date? I can highlight the column D but I wish I could highlight column A...
2. My second questions is... is there any way that I could tell column D to calculate 30 months after the date on column C?

Microsoft Word
I am placing a scanned signature in my Word document, but would like that signature locked so the receiver cannot lift the signature from the page. The receiver will be able to print the document so I don't want the whole document locked where they can't

This is the error I am getting when trying to print a test page to my (HP Designjet 800 42 by HP) printer. I just downloaded the newer driver, and still no luck. What could I possibly be doing wrong? I have also try to look up that particular error and I cant find it. Any input will be very much appreciated.

Why can I NOT delete files, denied, but I am ADMIN/Owner?
When W-10 forced itself onto my HDD, it changed name of Windows files to WindowsOld.
It also denies me the ability to DELET or modify ANY content. I want to delet the file but it give ERR that I need Admin Privs to access. I AM ADMIN. What say you?

Outlook crashed, can't fix - Office 2007 on Windows 10
I have Office 2007 on Windows 10, and my Outlook recently crashed. I was using email normally before this, and I had a compatibility message during my efforts to fix this, which makes me wonder if the recent Windows 10 update caused this.
My error message is:
"Cannot start Microsoft Office Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. Errors have been detected in the file. C:\Users`[username]\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications and then use the Inbox repair tool (Scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. for more information about the Inbox repair tool, see Help"
I followed instructions on a similar query and went through control panel, mail, then repair. It said that it had successfully configured email, but I still can't open Outlook, with the same error message as above.
I eventually found Scanpst.exe, but then I couldn't see a link to the path above.
Can anyone help, please? Thanks.
