Hi, I have some questions about. One Drive and One Drive for Business.
- What is the difference between One Drive and One Drive for Business?
- What is the difference between a user and a receiving access?
- What does OneDrive for Business contains?
- What does OneDrive contains?
- Why should you have multiple users on One Drive for business, when you can share access to so many people?
I am new to office 365, and having trouble determining how to set up the following scenario.
User A is the originator of an excel spread sheet titled Work Order List.
Users B,C,D,E..... are field technicians that have Iphones.
The goal is for Users B,C,D,E... to read only the Work Order List file from IPhone and/or tablets.
I have a personal OneNote account and a work OneNote account (obviously linked to different email addresses). How do I get these to run concurrently without logging out and then logging back in?
I finished downloading, but when it asked me to sign in. I put my credentials in but it says that the account is not associated with this office product. I checked into 'My Accounts' and everything is done. but i just cant sign in that last step
excel 2010 crashes when sending as attachment

מה לעשות?
I have created an Access App and published this on the company servers (somewhere).
I can find the App through MyApps on 365 and continue to edit as usual through Access on my desktop.
How can I enable others to view that app, and by others, hopefully a distinct list of persons with the company.
I cannot see where to share the app - it's not on OneDrive, or on my SharePoint ... Where am I going wrong?
==EDIT==
So it's on Sharepoint - I can use the Search functionality to find it (still not on OneDrive for whatever reason) - Does this mean anyone in my organisation can see it? Question is still relevant: Can i restrict access to this app by any means?
Many thanks in advance,
Amy
Hi there,
I have a two column section with a wide left margin and a wide spacing in the middle. I can insert a table with a negative indent so that it 'sticks out' into the left margin. If parts of the table fall into the second column then that works fine too.
However, as soon as the table has a ROW that's breaking over into the second column, the negative indent is magically hidden and that 'hiding' affects other tables in that column too.
It looks like a bug, it smells like a bug and I cannot find a workaround.
Before the rows are breaking:
After the rows are breaking:
Any ideas?
Edit 20 Jan 17: Just to quickly add some technical details:
This does not happen in Office 2010. I haven't got access to 2013 currently so can't try it out. The screenshots are from Office 2016 Pro Plus on PC. Not tried Mac. Need this fixed for 2016 quite urgently, we have legacy templates with thousands of users
globally who are about to be migrated to 2016.
Thanks!
I have followed a number of guides online instructing me how to hide the 'Share' button that appears on site. Even though I have followed the site and logged in as a read user, the share button still visible.
I have followed the instructions on the links below
http://www.sharepointdiary.com/2015/02/how-to-disable-share-follow-sync-buttons-in-sharepoint-2013.html

Please could you advice.
Hi,
We are using the Share Point in the company.
For some of the Share Points I am the site creator (so the Share Point owner as well) and for some - I have been just granted the access of the owner.
Could anyone please help me explaining why the Share Point site creator has the following rights, but when you add any other user to the owners of the site, they are not available for them:
- only site creator can review the Revision history of the files stored.
- only site creator can grant owner rights to other user.
I suppose there should be also other rights not available for other owners I am not aware of, which is very inconvenient.
Is it possible to manage this and ensure all owners can have these rights?
Thanks!

Problémám a következő:
Előre is köszönöm.

I'm a new customer for Office 365 and SharePoint online, and I think this 'use case' has been overlooked in the development of Modern views.
As a new customer, I want to develop our SharePoint site using only Modern views so that my users don't get confused by having to deal with both Modern and Classic views. But it's difficult to do this because the only option in SharePoint admin for using Modern views is 'auto-detect'. Also turning on features like Publishing, updating a list using Access, and many other configuration changes will cause the list to revert to Classic.
Whilst this behaviour is sensible for an existing implementation where users are used to Classic view, it isn't helpful for a new all-Modern implementation.
I believe that the compatibility is checked in the code when the view is displayed (see Differences between classic and new experiences for lists and document libraries) and reverts if incompatibilities are found. My suggestion is that a SharePoint Admin /SharePoint Lists and Libraries experience setting should be added for 'New Experience only'. If this option is set, and a view is list is displayed which isn't compatible with 'new experience', display an error messageindicating why it is incompatible. That will help out the significant numbers of posters puzzled as to why their lists don't display in the new experience and faced with checking the long list of possible issues in the link above.
I have new SB i7/16GB with Performance Base and the Wi-Fi performance is mediocre. The maximum throughput I see on Wi-Fi using Speedtest.net to my local ISP is 250 Mbps down (My Internet connection is 1 Gbps down and 50 Mbps up). This is using the performance base on AC power, 10 ft line-of-sight from the router, and an AC1900-class router on 5 GHz with 80 MHz channel. In contrast, my three-year old Lenovo Yoga S1 gets 430 Mbps down (the Yoga has a 2x2 802.11ac WiFi card like the SB).
Is anyone seeing better Wi-Fi throughput than 250 Mbps?
thanks,
pec
I have external users accessing a SharePoint document library in SharePoint Online. I want to send an alert to each of them when documents are added to the library. The method that seems most logical is to send the alert to a Shared Mailbox, and then have all message arriving in that Shared Mailbox forwarded to a distribution list. I will create an Exchange Contact for each of the external users showing their email address. I will add each of the Contacts to the distribution list. Sounds good in theory, but when I add a file to the document library, it does not generate the message to the Shared Mailbox.
We run Windows 10 and Office 2016, and due to an error with Office, and a error message saying Background Task is spurious see here https://support.microsoft.com/en-au/help/3097938/-background-task-activation-is-spurious-error-when-you-use-an-office-2016-application-to-access-office-365-resources
We have had to disable the sign in option for office, in group policy we have a policy, in User configuration\policies\administration templates\Microsoft office 2016\miscellaneous\block signing into office enabled so as to prevent the background task is spurious error, which is working, however it has stopped users from being able to sync Classnotebook files for onenote as they are not signed into their office365 account on the desktop version of onenote.
Does anyone know of a way that we can disable the signin of users into 365 to prevent the spurious error, without blocking the functionality of using onenote 2016 desktop version, rather then having to use the web client?
Thanks
James
Buonasera a tutti.
Resto in attesa e a piena disposizione.
