More feedback than a question.
I use Windows 10 on a virtual machine at work. I rarely use it, so EVERY TIME I need to use it to help a customer, it starts downloading updates. I know "updates are important blah blah blah.." but when I am using this, it is a VERY time sensitive matter.
I can potentially lose customers and sales from Windows update downloads and installs rendering my machine useless, and, in effect, making me look inept. We are a software company, and we look like we can't get our own machines to work when this happens! Not a great first impression.
When I can't access a website because an update is downloading "in the background," there is a HUGE issue with the way you force these updates on people. If you are going to make it so we can't turn the damn things off, at least slow it down so it isn't
eating every bit of bandwidth I have.
I quit using windows at home as well due to your updates turning my computer into an expensive doorstop while it downloads and installs, sometimes for hours at a time.
A way to limit the bandwidth consumption, or shut it off completely until I AM READY to watch my computer turn into a brick for an hour, would be helpful.
NOT HAPPY.
