I have business having 15 computers.
1. 6 Laptops having valid OEM Home Edition Licences : Should i use only win Pro edition in the office?
2. For 15 PCs, I am using 3 subscriptions of "Office 365 Business" as (One license covers 5 PCs or Macs, 5 phones, and 5 tablets per user) Should i need 15 subscriptions instead of 3 in the office.
Please guide.

Office 365 Credentials?
We recently created a SharePoint site collection to collaborate with advisors who work with our organization to share documents and important information. We picked a few of the advisors to function as a pilot group to test the functionality and sent them invitations to the site. However, one of them is unable to log in.
He tried to create a personal Microsoft account with his work email address but got the message that he is unable to do so because it is an organizational account. We told him to attempt signing in with his work email address and Windows password, but he was not able to log in with those credentials as well.
Effectively, he cannot log in with his AD credentials nor can he create a personal account to access the site. What are potential causes for this? Is it possible that only a portion of his organization is using Azure Active Directory and, therefore, it is preventing those who are not yet on AAD from signing in?
Please let me know what additional steps I can use to troubleshoot.

Problems with windows 10 creators update 1703, blank screen
I have an HP 750-177c desktop.
When I installed the latest update (1703), after install is complete, and then a restart I get a blank screen.
Loaded my image (thank u Acronis true image), completely checked out my system, diagnostics, drivers etc. all good.
Tried another load of the update, same problem.
Called MS, tech informed me the HP750-100 series had not been tested computer for the new update.
Called HP, paid for tech support and was informed that it was true my system had not been tested and they could not tell me when it would be. When I asked who I should call to get the test date information I was informed they did not have the information nor did they know who to call to get the information.
So, I am stuck with a 15 month old computer which is no longer supported by HP. With the new MS Win 10 updates, you can no longer prevent the update installation, you can delay, but cannot prevent.
Could anyone please help me out of the mess.

Microsoft office 2010 will not save and will not open save as / browse / open dialogue boxes
**UPDATE**
Due to a request from the main user to stop the update until the issue could be resolved I attempted to Hide the update (KB4019472) following this article >https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/3073930/how-to-temporarily-prevent-a-driver-update-from-reinstalling-in-windows-10
Windows will now no longer boot normal or safe mode. It does the automatic repair attempt, reboots, tries again, then reboots into the recovery console.

I have browsed several forum posts similar to my issue and have been unable to resolve this issue.
OS > Windows 10 upgraded from windows 8.1
Application > Microsoft office 2010
> all office applications exhibit the same issue.
Duration of problem > this issue was noticed about 2 months ago ( early april, 2017 )
This computer has been operational for about 2 years now with windows 10 being in use for about 1 year. Zero issues have been noticed prior to this and I cannot for the life of me figure out if the issue was caused by a upgrade or program installed.
**Please note** : this computer is used by an older family member who regularly uses facebook, Microsoft office (word, PP, Pub), amazon.com, has played games from graphic intense rift/eq landmark to simple facebook games. Uses, Ventrilo and curse and teamspeak for some games.
Due to the main computer person enjoying not having to do much maintenance this computer does not get fully shut down often, instead it is left on and uses the deep sleep (hibernate) option.
All Microsoft updates are set to automatic.
Microsoft suggested updates are set to automatic.
Most applications are also set to automatic recommended updates.
The below information is what I have noticed and attempted so far. Some attemps at fixes may not be noticed as I compiled this list off of my memory of what has been attempted over the past couple weeks.
I would like to avoid reinstalling windows if possible.
Symptoms:
Microsoft office applications will not open dialogue boxes such as: save as; browse; open > Clicking on any of these buttons results in a window flash and nothing more.
Microsoft office applications will also not save files via normal save: clicking on save results in a window flash and nothing more.
Microsoft office applications will not save upon closing: clicking on save results in a window flash and then acts as though the cancel button was clicked; i.e. returns to the application.
Steps taken for Office:
- uninstalled and reinstalled ms office > same issue
- used MS fixit tool to completely remove office > same issue
- attempted safe mode > MS office will not open in safe mode due to verification .exe
- attempted "clean boot" of windows 10 > same issue
- created a new user to see if issue was universal > same issue on brand new user

- scanned computer with Malwarebytes and widows defender > no infections found > same office issue
- ran ccleaner multiple times, before and after most attempts including before reinstall, after uninstall, and after reinstall > over 2000 registry issues were "fixed" along with more than 2GB of "cleaned / deleted" data. most of this data was stored in the windows temporary file and temp internet file
Only one successful work around for saving was found:
It seems if i right-click to create a new office document before opening office it will allow me to save to that document only, however the browse, open, save as buttons still result in same issue.
ISSUE 2:
Symptoms:
Windows update continues to fail upon installing the following: 2017-05 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1607 for x64-based Systems (KB4019472)
(KB4019472) > will download and install then asks to restart the machine as normal. Upon restart both before and after reboot, the system acts as though it is updating correctly.
(KB4019472) > will result in a failed to install update message when windows has fully restarted.
Steps taken for update:
- researched and only found "manual .dll repair" steps. This is something i am not fully comfortable doing.
ISSUE 3:
-Upon attempting to fix the above issues i ran across this:
Symptoms:
SFC scannow gets stuck at 89% and then results in Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation
Steps taken for SFC:
- Run CMD as Administrator
- chkdsk and no bad sectors
- safe mode
> above steps result in same 89% error.

My build expired as I had not used the laptop for a few months
I had a windows 8 laptop that I had installed the Win10 Insider build on. I did not use the laptop for several months, and would not power on due to file:\windows\system32\winload.efi error code. (expired)
I tweaked the Bios date back a year, and was able to boot to windows, but everything was locked down. Settings, control panel, etc.
I rebooted, and no longer can get into the build at all - even with Bios date tweak.
Am I stuck and have to rebuild from scratch?
I'm pretty sure I registered for the free Windows 10 upgrade to Win 10 Home edition at the time, but still wanted to try the preview before it was available.

All Windows 10 computers in our domain are suddenly and unexpectedly affected by this error that will logged about every hour in the Event log:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{D63B10C5-BB46-4990-A94F-E40B9D520160}
and APPID
{9CA88EE3-ACB7-47C8-AFC4-AB702511C276}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM SID (S-1-5-18) from address LocalHost (Using LRPC) running in the application container Unavailable SID (Unavailable). This security permission can be modified using the Component Services administrative tool.It looks like there's a solution to this problem that may work [here], however this is quite complicated and requires multiple steps on each machine!
Now some thoughts:
- How could this happen?
- Why doesn't MS provides a fix?
- How can we easily fix this on all machines in a domain, possibly through an automated task?

Windows creator 10
I've upgraded to WINDOWS CREATOR 10. Now many of my apps ( photos, weather, sports a few others) will not open. I click on the tile; there's flash but the app will not open. I've done a couple of restarts but that doesn't seem to help. any suggestion?

When is Microsoft upgrading Bluetooth A2DP Sink Feature?
Hello there,
I'm an ardent fan of Microsoft Windows. I have been using it since Windows 98 days. For the longest time I used Windows 7 on my desktop and recently upgraded it to Windows 10. I also have a laptop which runs Windows 8.1.
Now, here's the deal: I have a fancy 5.1 speakers attached to the sound card custom installed in my desktop. The music settings run on 24bits studio quality. I really love my music and I really love my bass.
I used to connect my phone to my laptop over Bluetooth, the phone would get recognized and automatically load up the audio service. And I would simply play music directly from my phone while I'm lying in my bed.
I moved to a new house which is smaller but with great reverb. I realized if I play the 5.1 on the desktop in one room, I can clearly hear the music from any part of the house. So I decided I'm going to connect my desktop with my phone via Bluetooth the same way I connect my laptop.
I purchased a fancy $100 Gigabyte WiFi/Bluetooth 4.0 PCI card and custom installed it in my motherboard. To my dismay, I found out that although my phone pairs up successfully with my desktop running Windows 10, but the device does not show any service other than "Send files" and "Sync PIM data".
I was up all night desperately scouring the Internet trying to understand why is this so. Turns out its more complex than I thought. Earlier the Bluetooth device manufacturers were writing the drivers themselves so they used to create two way A2DP profiles ( Advanced Audio Distribution Profile) where the Bluetooth driver could send (source) and receive (sink) audio streaming over Bluetooth to and from other devices, which enables my phone to play music on my laptop.
Now Microsoft has started writing their own drivers for sundry devices, including Bluetooth. But you have enabled only A2DP Source function which can play music onto other devices but skipped adding A2DP sink function which receives music.
Now I understand you may have done it for some security issue or something else. But I do hope you understand, that if this is a deliberate decision, then it's quite autocratic in nature. The primary reason why Windows is loved by everyone is because of its democratic nature of letting the user decide what they want to do with their PCs. Preventing the user from utilizing their custom built systems running Windows as an OS platform, is not just unethical but also inconsiderate.
If this is not a deliberate decision then I hope you guys are working on bringing this feature in. Looking at the Internet this issue has been floating around for over a year now, with no response from Microsoft regarding this whatsoever. I'm sure this can't have possibly missed your attention. Plenty of users are absolutely without any information regarding this. So some communication from your end about this would greatly help!
So. It's 5AM here. Having said all above, here is my question:
What is the status on the issue of missing A2DP Sink feature in Bluetooth drivers created by Microsoft?
Is Microsoft working on catering to this issue?
If yes, then tentatively by when could a possible solution be expected?
If no, some clarification and reasoning would help alleviate some of the user frustrations. Also, some suggestion for alternate solutions we could look into.
I'd be greatly thankful if we could get a response from Microsoft regarding this.
