My Windows 7 Ultimate x64 can not boot to safe mode. If I choose any Safe Mode (of 3) in boot menu, then After OS initialization, system protection screen (where I can enter password) should appear, but I see just black screen with mouse cursor (I can
move it but clicking makes no effect) instead. After approximately a minute Windows reboots. What can I check or try for causes identification or solution?

Remote notebook disappears entirely, reappears after forced sync
I use OneNote on a desktop and a SurfacePro 3 for work, and I keep one remote notebook on both so that I can switch seamlessly between either device. For the most part, it has been working great until this past week.
Suddenly, I will find that ALL the sections of this remote notebook are gone. The title of the notebook is there, but no sections. I've noticed they are ending up in the "Misplaced Sections" at the bottom of the sidebar. Only when I force the notebook to sync again will the missing sections be restored.
Obviously, I would like for this to not keep happening as it is a waste of time to wait for the notebook to sync again to get my notes back. Why is this only suddenly happening now and how do I make it stop?
The remote notebook is located on OneDrive and I'm using OneNote 2010. The desktop is running on Windows 7, and the SurfacePro on Windows 8.1.

Surface Book Crashing
I recently got a Surface Book i7 512 GB laptop and from the very start have had issues with it randomly crashing (it makes a sort of clicking noise as it seems to shut off, but the screen is frozen and only a hard restart will restore functionality). The
computer is conpletely up to date according to the update option in settings whenever I can get to it before the laptop crashes again. I have looked on here for solutions, but the latest I can find that is a similar problem is from two years ago, so it's solution
of a software update does not apply. I very much like my computer when I can use it, but it is a major issue when I cannot depend on it to not crash when I need to do something.

Hello,
I'm trying to call a WCF service from Excel 2010 using VBA.
I would need to reference my service but I can't see "Tools->Add a web reference" menu item.
I found it comes with Office Web Services Toolkit that is only available for Office 2003.
So how am I meant to do to work to call a WCF service from Excel 2010?

My subscription is supposed to be renewed, automatically, on June 11.
While my credit-card number is the same as it was last year, the expiration date on the card and the 3 digit security code on the back of the card are now different.
While those differences interfere with the automatic renewal process?

Windows update 1703 update troubleshooter
Computer has made 10 attempts and failed to update to 1703. Ran the update trouble shooter, it found and fixed 4 problems (one probably was that I had set windows update to 'manual' to stop the daily attempts to update) but when I hit the 'next' button it ran again and reported >Service registration is missing or corrupt< not fixed.
Originally it was just reporting 'Failed to install'. After setting update to manual, the next day it reported error <Feature update to Windows 10, version 1703 - Error 0x80240031> and that is when I searched and was pointe to the update repair utility.
What is the fix for this?

Handy durch Update zerstört
Hallo zusammen,
mein Handy (Lumia 930) hat letzten Freitag das Update installiert und hing dann immer in der Boot Schleife.
Ich hab dann erst versucht es über einen Soft- und Hard- Reset zurück zu setzten, leider ohne Erfolg.
Dann wollte ich es über das WDRT mit dem PC verbinden und zurücksetzt, doch das Programm hat mein Handy einfach nicht erkannt.
Am Dienstag habe ich das Handy dann zur Reparatur gebracht und heute mit der Diagnose, dass die Platine durch das Update irreparabel geschädigt wurde zurück bekommen.
Ist das bei noch jemanden passiert oder hat damit jemand Erfahrung ob ich da bei Microsoft auch irgendwelche Kulanz hoffen kann?
Ich weiß natürlich selbst, dass das Insider-Programm immer auf eigenes Risiko läuft, aber das durch so ein Update Fehler das Handy komplett geschrottet wird finde ich schon nicht so witzig!

Microsoft Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool
During the execution of Windows-KB890830-x64-V5.48.exe as a full scan, the window/panel showing the progress indicates 3 infected files. Yet when the execution completes, the message is "No malicious software was detected". When I view detail results of the scan I get a Listing of Malware with Scan Results. Each entry indicates Not Infected. Ran same execution in Safe Mode with same result.
So am I or am I not infected? As there is no indication of what the 3 files are nor where they are, I am unable to directly deal with them. I am particularly concerned due to an email hack I fell into.
Using windows 10 and McAfee security.
