OK, So I am running Windows 10, with Office 2016, (so Outlook 2016) on my desktop, I do have an O365 business account. I have set up two email profiles, one for work and one for personal emails. The one for personal emails contains a mixture of hotmail,
gmail, live, and "comcast.net" accounts. Those all set up easily and work fine. (Even though I did have to authorize an external application for one of them.)
Unfortunately neither of my yahoo email accounts will setup and connect. I have tried to let it automatically configure. (failed) I have tried pop3 setup, failed. I have tried the IMAP instructions with the manual server configurations, again all failed.
I can log into my yahoo email through my browser and I looked for some way to authorize outlook but I didn't see any.
I actually called yahoo tech support (in India or Pakistan, I think) and they told me they needed to remote into my machine. I allowed this and they looked at my running services and said that they would have to reinstall all of my Microsoft Windows 10
services to allow outlook to work. Then they said there is a charge for this. That's when I said "NO!" and they hung up on me.
So does anybody have any clue where I should proceed to next? I know there must be some small step I am missing or something. It still feels like I need to have yahoo permit outlook permission to download and send email through their servers.
Thanks in advance.
