Hello Community, hope someone has the answer please
I'm getting the below above trying to update Defender, either through Windows update service, of through defender directly.
Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB2267602 (Definition 1.245.730.0) - Error 0x80070643
I've used Windows trouble shooter, I've try to look for registry keys for a repair I found, but don't have the keys themselves, see below:
https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/fe813b05-5baf-4e3c-abdf-4ab7cf02f92c/how-to-reinstall-windows-defender-on-windows-10?forum=w8itproinstall
press Win key + R. This will open Run.
Type "regedit" and hit enter.
Navigate to these keys:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows Defender
Change value of 'DisableAntiSpyware' and 'DisableAntiVirus' from 0 to 1.
After changing the values go to 'C:\Program Files\Windows Defender' and open 'MSASCui.exe' file
I've done sfc /scannow, and it's came back with no file corruptions
I though I could download Windows Defender as a install package, and try to reinstall it but can't find a download of it.
Tried this, link below

I would recommend you to reset the windows update component manually. Resetting Windows Update Components will fix corrupt Windows Update Components and help you to install the Updates quickly. Follow the below steps:
1. Press Windows Key + X on the keyboard and then select “Command Prompt (Admin)” from the menu.
2. Stop the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. To do this, type the following commands at a command prompt. Press
the “ENTER” key after you type each command.
net stop wuauserv
net stop cryptSvc
net stop bits
net stop msiserver
3. Now rename the SoftwareDistribution and Catroot2 folder. You can do this by typing the following commands in the Command Prompt. Press the “ENTER”
key after you type each command.
ren <C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.old>
ren <C:\Windows\System32\catroot2 Catroot2.old>
4. Now, let’s restart the BITS, Cryptographic, MSI Installer and the Windows Update Services. Type the following commands in the Command Prompt for this. Press the ENTER key
after you type each command.
net start wuauserv
net start cryptSvc
net start bits
net start msiserver
5. Type Exit in the Command Prompt to close it and then restart the computer.
