Hello,
I had a few OneNote documents that I used online, via the 'waffle' > OneNote which all worked very well.
I installed OneDrive on my desktop (Windows 10 LTSB -OneNote for business version 2016 17.3.699.0327 + Office Professional Plus 2016 installed on the desktop) and thought it would be useful to get the OneNote documents directly in OneDrive.
I went to the documents, clicked 'open in desktop' > File > Export and I saved it to a OneDrive folder. Everything seemed ok, it synced the file up to the web.
After this I went to edit it in the web version of OneDrive, and opened it up, and I got this message:
I've tried Chrome/IE. signing out, etc. and it wouldn't work. I then tried via my iPhone and it just said:
"We couldn't open this section" and a sync error code of 0xE402005F.
Then I went back to the file on my desktop and it had been deleted in the meantime, but not by me. I found it again in a "missing sessions" part.
I was trying this out as I thought it would be simple to move an online copy of a OneNote document to OneDrive.
Is there a better method to doing this? It's worrying the document was deleted too, if I had left it I could have lost that file full of notes forever. I didn't have a local copy of these OneNote files, and there doesn't seem to be a move to OneDrive from the web one, if I click File, I only see Share which only allows 'Share with people'
Other documents and files seem ok so far, just OneNote seems to be unhappy.
