What will happen with Win RT after 1st of july?
what will happen with my Surface 2 with Win RT after 1st of July. Question 2 is what happens with my wireless Skype telefon i have at home. Will that one continuue working? Another strange thing is that if i understand right is Skype a part of windows.
They have first decided NOT to upgrade my telephone to win 10. That make me not able to use my Bank-ID on my Phone. Now i can't use Skype on my Phone anymore. It feels to be time to use another telephone system when Microsoft work against their own customers.
Or use anything that's not Skype.

Skype Desktop Phone Won't Ring, Now VM is Gone
How do I get customer service live chat? I'm having a serious problem with my Skype number...not only is it not ringing on my Skype desktop phone, but if I go to call my number, my voicemail is not there, but a generic one with an English accent. What is going on? I've had Skype for many years, and I want to know if this has to do with the Microsoft takeover. HELP, PLEASE, THIS IS THE NUMBER FOR MY BUSINESS!

Ab diesem Thread teilen.
Ich bin fast genau der gleichen Lage, nur dass bei mir via Handy-Hotspot Store, Edge und Windows Mail funktioinieren, ebenso via WLAN und Nachbars Kabel-TV-Anschluss. Das Problem muss also mit der Fritzbox zu tun haben, nur ging früher auch die, und sie hat sich seither nicht verändert. Also ist die Ursache darin zu suchen, wie Windows für seine Apps die Fritzbox ansteuert. Vielleicht müsste Microsoft mal selber ins Forum schauen.

Access to Samba shares from Windows 7 fails
Since enabling encryption for Samba shares on Linux servers, Windows 7 workstations can no longer access those Samba shares.
Windows 8 and Windows 10 workstations are able to access those shares successfully, while Windows 7 workstations fail with an error "The specified network password is not correct.".
Insights are greatly appreciated.

Updates Windows 10
Hallo,
Na een major update van Windows 10 moet er heel wat opnieuw worden ingesteld of gewijzigd.
1. One Drive wordt weer teruggezet, terwijl die volgens de eigen MS aanwijzingen al verwijderd was.
2. Het na een tijdje niet-uitschakelen van usb-schijven (Togglesuspend) wordt weer gewijzigd
in wel-uitschakelen. Pedant en uiterst irritant.
3. Files met niet-Microsoft extensies moeten weer opnieuw worden toegewezen aan een programma.
4. Na de laatste update heb ik bovenin Internet Explorer naast de Nieuwe pagina de Egde link.
Hoe krijg ik die weg ? Ook werd mijn startpagina van IE gewijzigd naar een Microsoft applicatie.
Ik ga niet over naar Edge omdat dat het door veel anti-virusprogramma's niet wordt ondersteund.
Dat is toch mijn keuze, of niet ? Dring dan niet Edge op.
Microsoft geeft de mogelijkheid om Windows 10 in te stellen naar eigen inzicht en behoefte.
Waarom dan steeds weer een reset naar HUN instellingen ?

Outlook for Mac - indexing/search
I'm on the last straw with Outlook 2016 for Mac. Every couple of months, Outlook crashes and the index just gets blown away and search doesn't work. The only fix is to reinstall Office, resetup all of my accounts (I have 7) and get all of my signatures put back.
This is absolutely ridiculous and, frankly, I've had it. What is the fix for this beyond reinstalling Outlook once a quarter or more? It's either this gets fixed or I have to move to something else. I don't have time to constantly reinstall Office. It's beyond frustrating. I do IT for a living and I know how this stuff works and I can't fix it. Not cool.

Det kan da ikke passe at der ikke er nogen der kan hjælpe. Efter opdatering virker mit bredbånd ikke har afinstaleret og så skal det instalere sig selv automatisk men der sker ikke noget hvis jeg ser i stifinder har den slet ikke registreret det. Det har
virket upåklageligt intil opdateringen kom. Og det virker på en gammel mini pc der kører xp. Nogen må da vide hvad der er galt. Jeg kan næsten kun tænde og slukke. pc er et halvt år gammel det er fortidligt at skrotte den sker det er det farvel til internet
jeg kan sgu ikke blive ved for det er nr. 2 på et halvt år.

Windows 10 Night Light Schedule Has Wrong Sunrise-Sunset Times
I have the Night Light schedule set to Sunset to sunrise, which is currently followed by (23:00 — 12:11). The problem is that the Night Light feature isn't turning on and off at appropriate times.
The computed times are wrong for my location, as sunset today is at 20:09 (UTC-7h), and sunrise tomorrow is at 04:10. The end of astronomical twilight, at 23:25, is close to the first figure, but it starts at 00:55, which is very different from the second figure. That figure isn't even close to civil twilight, which starts here at 03:29 tomorrow.
I will add that I keep my computer clock on UTC. It is almost as if the first figure uses local time, and the second figure uses UTC, which would be at least close to what I'd expect the times to be.

Outlook and iphone meetings cancelled and resent when on wifi
I have Outlook 2010 on my pc. I also have my outlook synced to my iphone 6 for both email and calendar. I have two recurring weekly meetings that I set up in outlook on my pc. My iphone sends out cancellation notices and then re-sends invitations for both
meetings any time I am away from my office and on wifi. It does not happen when I am in the office on the office wifi, and it does not happen when I am out of the office but not on wifi. Why is this happening??

Windows 10 Creator update media creation tool fails to fix 0xc0000098 and 0xc00000f
I updated to Win 10 from 7.
What appears to have been the cause of this boot error headache is that I had performed a check disk the night before I ran into this issue.
I have tried every suggestion offered on the Microsoft Support website to try and fix the 0xc0000098 and 0xc00000f error codes.
What I have done so far:
I downloaded the Media Creation Tool to a USB. Changed the Boot sequence to "Onboard USB CD-ROM , shut down computer, inserted the USB Media Creation Tool, turned computer back on, hit a key, which opened the Options menu. Chose the fix start up and ended up with the 98 error code..
Next I tried the (OUTDATED AND HARMFUL) advice that was shown as a Solution on Microsoft Support about using my Windows 7 installation disk that would install the utilities to fix boot error, which lead me to my most recent mess.
After I start up my computer, and strike any key, I immediately get the 98 error code. When I tried F12, I get an options menu, but it is on a black screen. It gives me the option to use: Onboard or USB CD-ROM drive, USB Device, or my hardrive as a boot choice. When I choose USB, I get the 98 error code.
I have downloaded the iOS option of the Media Creation to my old Windows 7 pro laptop that I have, but when I try to burn it to a DVD, I cannot get it to do so. When I tried to burn it using the iOS burn option, I get the error message "wait for the burner to warm up" or, if it actually starts to burn, it stops and shows "Error" but no code. I have not gotten the error message about the DVD not having enough room.
I've spent way way too many hours trying to fix this, and I'm close to throwing my computer out the door, (but cannot afford to do so).
One thing is for certain: All "Solutions" and redirects found on Microsoft's support site that suggest using an old (prior to10) installation disk, need to be removed before anyone else attempts to use the wrong information
I want anyone who reads this to know that I don't always remember the correct vernacular, but I do hope that my substitutions do the job.
Thank you to anyone who has the correct Solution to my boot error problem!
(Had I been more saavy, I would have realized that the blame for the failure of my not having a Recovery disk lays squarely on Microsoft. The multiple times that I tried, and failed to burn a Win 10 recovery disk , is due to their not including an app to burn to DVD, AND not being upfront about informing their customers that they will have to use some "alternate" burner.)

I don't see an option to extend my public website? I also received no notice of this ending? Reminds me of the last time this happened when we had to migrate to office365 without any support - at least then, there was some notice. This type of behavior is unacceptable for a company like Microsoft. Looks like time to stir up a social media storm #Bad #Unacceptable
