After last Windows update, the sound from Samsung TV stopped, TV connected via HDMI and I used to view it in the list of playback devices. Now the list contains "Digital Audio (HDMI)" and it does not enabled with message "Not plugged in".
The list contains also 4 ore devices: "NVIDIA HDMI Output (Port 0)" to Port 3.
We setup ADFS 3.0 and DirSync to work with our Office 365. It was working with no problems for certain users and not at all for other users. The users it was not working for just continually received the login prompt when trying to login using windows authentication mode. One solution we found was to disable Enhanced Protection for Authentication, but obviously that's a less secure route to go. After a week of running Fiddler and combing through logs, we started thinking the Antivirus (AVG) was the culprit. Sure enough we discovered the most recent version of AVG Business Edition has a feature called Online Shield. Within that feature there is an option to "Scan encrypted (TLS and SSL) network traffic. This feature essentially inserts an AVG certificate within the certificate chain and effectively killed the handshake between the client and ADFS server. Disabling this feature fixed all the problems.
Hopefully this helps someone, it was definitely a headache for us.

I mounted a VHDX and ran $MountedDisk|Get-Partition, but it returned only 1 partition, even though the disk actually has 4 partitions. I then ran Get-Partition -DiskNumber 2, and it returned all 4 partitions as expected. I think this is a bug. This problem only happened on one of my VHDX files; the other VHDX worked fine. If I posted this in the wrong place, please move it for me because I don't intend to put any more effort into this.

Hello everyone,
I had received a code for Minecraft Windows 10 edition a year and a bit ago (13 September 2015) since I owned Minecraft on the PC. I redeemed it and really enjoyed it. Then Christmas rolled around and I got a new laptop. I was going to move both Minecraft PC and Windows 10 Edition onto it and with the PC version I logged onto my account and downloaded the game onto my computer.
Windows 10 Edition wasn't quite as easy. The start menu already had the game there so I clicked it only to find the Windows Store and the option to buy it. I tried looking at my Microsoft account but to no avail. I then tried my Mojang account and saw the option to redeem my code since it wasn't installed. I clicked redeem and pasted the code in only to find the code had already been redeemed. This made sense, I had already redeemed it on my other laptop.
My question is, can I 'unredeem' that code so that I can get it on my new laptop? Could I uninstall it from one computer and reinstall it on another? If so, how can I do so?
If the answer is no, I'll be fine but I hadn't seen any other posts about this elsewhere so I thought I might try.

I am in the insider program and running windows 10, ver 1703, now today (June 2nd) my system is telling me that my version of windows will expire on 5-15-2017? Anyone have a clue here?

I know this is an old post but i'm trying to update from 8 to 8.1 after i reset my laptop. I disabled norton and rebooted my lap top. It wont even let me enter the windows update section. I click on windows update and it just sits there and loads forever. When it does load i search for updates and it tells me it can't search for updates right now. I tried the troubleshooter, it says it fixed the problem but I go back and It does the same thing over and over

da considerarsi fra le migliori. Sempre leggendo in rete, viene sconsigliata la versione free che funziona per una settimana e poi va aggiornata più di una volta pagando tickets, infatti esiste la versione Premium Italia che costa sui 22 euro, è completa subito
e tutto sommato è migliore e costa meno della versione Free aggiornata a pagamento.
Chi la conosce? Sono moolto tentato di comprarla ma vorrei sapere da chi già la usa se è davvero una buona app.

I noticed that many of my desktop icons (win7) had a new image added (a brick wall with the world behind it). This image overlayed the old icon, similiar to how a shortcut arrow does. I also saw some green + symbols temporarily appear.
Unistalling Security Essentials appears to have corrected this behavior. I have not been able to locate any documentation that says that Security Essentials does this.
When I detect a change in my desktop that I was not expecting or did not receive a proper notice of, I always assume malware.
Can anyone verify that Security Essentials modifies other programs icons?

Tentei alterar pelo painel de controle, mas não consegui alterar o idioma do SO apenas consegui adicionar vozes e teclados em inglês.
Como realizo essa alteração?

Windows Eight updates have failed to install, costing me all kinds of time. I would have been on Windows 10, except at the last moment for my 8 - 10 change, Win-10 checker reports my system is incompatible.
Any-Way..... Just reporting the trouble here.... No need to respond... Thanks - (My experience only). Appears W-8 might not be an option for me right now. (Why we all need at least two to three IBM compatible machines functioning at all times). (Backup's to the backup).
WHAT IT IS: (see subject) Same exact username, different paths to thing, only one shows at a time. For anonymity guidelines compliance will call myself GhostUser1 and Ghostuser2. GU2 has a pic, GU1 generic representation of me; also the names are slightly different. It would be like "GhostUser1" and "GhoustUs"...similar like that.
WHEN IT STARTED:
Option 1 - I might have been dealing with this since I first was given this laptop (Lenovo Edge 15) brand new. I created my account, and some weeks later I decided to add another entire user because I wanted to see what settings I preferred and already wanted a fresh slate. For a while things were fine; I used them with different emails, different MS accounts, and different uses ie.- personal and work. However, as I started to get serious software and services installed it became a problem. Example - GU1 installed and pre-paid a year of Office 365 and the only feasible-for-me way GU2 could have it was to have GU1 add GU2 by invitation .
Option 2 - I put that computer aside one day when I thought it would not boot and started using other laptops (T400) but picked it up again some months later. I decided to fix it but was told that I needed a new mobo so eventually bought one on EBAY listed as dead. I joined the two machines by bringing my HDD, RAM display to the new/old one. Windows was close to self-termination it got so confused by the wrong parts being in the right body or vice versa, but I kept working with it.
WHERE IT IS NOW: Not good and getting worse I think, since now
I THINK that the deleted GU2 showed back up and took over GU1, but I have no real idea. Or.. I will say though that these things have memories far beyond my ability to explain. Because: last night, when doing Google searches attempting to find a possible explanation for this all, one link brought me here, to Microsoft Communities. I about fell off the chair when I saw that I was - somehow, I didn't enter ne ingle thing - I was logged in as a Me (GU3!) with a Display name I haven't used in many years, and a post I did indeed make: seven yeas ago, 2010.
I have no removable drives whatsoever, so however that happened it was either cloud-related or I need an exorcist or who knows. SINCE (not IF) GU3 survived across seven years, a dozen computers, clean installs, reformats and complete destruction well then I know for sure that GU2 could have come back and overtaken GU1.
WHAT I HAVE TRIED (not in date order):
STATUS THIS MOMENT: Last night I ran elevated PS cmd sfc/ scannow and got back a result in no time which said something like Data Protection (?) didn't find any integrity violations. Great but since I still saw signs I ran the DSM thing and fell asleep. This morning it said that the restore operation was a success. But it's worse than ever, and I still seem to have only eight programs so I downloaded and ran CCleaner - which can see ALL of my apps. I think...
Of course: There is more. But isn't this plenty? Please help if you can and remember I would rather not have to start from scratch. I've come this far, but also would rather not try any of my own ideas. Like, I even thought that if I changed GU1 and GU2s names to be all the way identical, that might help. I could terminate myself if I will let me. And under the general “There’s More” heading, did I mention that every single one of GU1s office docs have appended an X to themselves and are now all Templates?
