Hi,
I have a database for tasks with form fTasksDetails and subform fTasksMfg where users select one or more manufacturers associated with each task. I've modified Ken Sheridan's Family Demo code to require at least one selection in the subform before the form closes and it works great with just a Close button, but I also have a Save & New Record button to allow the user to enter multiple tasks while they have the details form open. The trouble I'm having is making the code work with the opening a new record. I've gone round and round with code in various places - before update (I now know that I can't get to the subform without the before update event firing), the OnClick event for the save button (throws message I entered, opens a new record, then Ken's message, and goes back to the record needing a subform entry), etc...
Can someone please tell me how to use this code to require an entry in the subform, validate that entry and either stay on the record if entry is needed or go to a new record if the subform entry has been made?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Pam
