I have windows 10 pc fully updated
I connect an USB external HDD
I saved there my photos !!!
I run bitlocker saving the key to onedrive directory
I closed the PC
Boot again the PC and connect the external HDD
Bitlocker replied that the bitlocker version is not compatible with this version of windows.
I can not think what to do except to require from MS 1M$ for my photos.
Please help

I'm having a bit of a problem with my icons not appearing even when I'm turning them on via the taskbar settings. Some of the icons I can see turning on and off as I select them but others don't, the usual ones like the power, wifi, battery are fine but things like windows defender icon and intel hd graphics don't show up when I turn them on. Even some of the system icons won't show, particularly the touchpad which I use a lot for when I'm gaming. The ones I'm really bothered about and want are the Windows defender icon, Intel HD graphics icon and the touchpad system icon. I've read a lot about this but I can't fix the problem, is this a known issue or does anyone have any suggestions?
I should note, this has only been happening since the creators update.
Edit: Now there's more lol Is there a way to reset the taskbar without resetting the laptop?

happens every time I open cortana, it was always connected to the taskbar previously.
Now
when I open the start menu I'm greeted with the search bar for cortana.

We have an odd situation where our employees work for us at a state sponsored organization. As such they have 2 email accounts.
Our email account is on Exchange 2010. Uses Firstname.lastname@ExchangeDomain.
They also have an Office365 account for the state sponsored email. Uses FirstInitialLastName@O365Domain.
We are getting frequent "Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups:" although not consistently. When I look at the Delivery has failed email I see an invalid LegacyExchangeDN entry which is what our exchange server is complaining about. The LegacyExchangeDN
ends with FirstInitialLastName@ExchangeDomain. This seems to be a combination of the two accounts.
I have been unable to replicate the issue reliably but I have lots of examples of where it failed. The user is always using autocomplete in Outlook 2016 to populate the email address. Outlook 2010 and 2013 seem to be unaffected.
We have reinstalled office 2016, ensured all patches are applied, and turned off cached mode for affected users but to no affect.
I have all my contacts in my outlook.com account, and access them from various devices: -
- Windows People & Mail apps on Surface Pro 4
- Full Outlook application on Surface Pro 4
- Outlook.com
- Samsung Galaxy S7 contacts (set up via Exchange ActiveSync )
- Lumia 950 People & Mail app (trying to move away from this to the S7)
I want to be able to set a contact photo in one place, and have it appear on all the above devices. And I can.....ONLY If I add the photo on the Lumia 950. But that's not much good, as I'm moving away from that phone.
I did some testing with newly setup contacts, adding a photo in each place and seeing where they synced to. The table below shows the results.
NOTE: All of the other contact information syncs OK everywhere, the table just refers to the syncing of a contact photo.

This seems crazy! The only way I can have synced contact photos is with the device I'm trying to get rid of. Setting a photo anywhere else means that some places don't get the photo and sometimes its really low resolution (if the source is the Galaxy S7)
Any ideas? This is consistent and reproducible for me, with freshly created contacts. As I said, the other contact infois syncing between all devices, so I know the accounts are setup correctly.

Cuando intento entrar me pide que introduzca mi cuenta Microsoft, lo hago y aparece una ventana en blanco (icono de carpeta OneDrive). Compruebo de nuevo el icono de One Drive en la barra de tareas y sigue apagado con la info "sesión no iniciada".
He seguido varios consejos de este foro incluido desinstalar y volver a instalar, pero el problema persiste. En cambio la aplicación de One Drive de W10 funciona perfectamente y puedo acceder a mis archivos. Solo es la app de sincronización que no va. ¿Alguna idea?

I was playing "Tomb Raider: Underworld" on Steam since a few weeks when the "Creators Update" got installed. Since that moment, starting the game, a message box appears with that name and text:

I uninstalled all Steam games and Steam client, reinstalled Steam and that game.
I use DriverBooster to keep my drivers up to date, after a few days, it found an update for my graphic card: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series.
I reinstalled DirectX 9 from the Tomb Raider installation files.
I run the "Check for file" option in steam.
I tried to run the game and the Steam client as an administrator.
Still the same error appears while Battle.Net and HearStone are working and another old game: King Quest 7 from GOG.com is working too !
I'm not sure it would help but can we go backward on the Creators Update installation ?

Who wants to reset their PC simply because Microsoft forced a faulty update?
How many hours do you think it will take to get the PC back to where it was after resetting?
Is that the idea behind the update? To reset our PC's and start over?
Here is my issue with the creator update:
Everyday I am experiencing random and total PC crashes after the Creator update.
My PC is a stock high end Asus based computer.
I did not have crashes before the update. I didn't ask for the update. I didn't even have the choice.
When I clicked check for updates - it automatically updated to Creator.
My PC is a critical tool, and now it is useless. Random crashes = lost work.
I can't leave excel or video editing programs, etc open for fear it will crash and corrupt.
It was bad enough before with Microsoft forced restarts.
Be nice if you could fix this problem within a timely manner.
As a side note I also disliked the way it took you a year to fix whatever randomly started my computer when it was asleep or hibernated (after a previous big update)
I especially liked the time when I was away for three weeks and came back to find my PC "Microsoft restarted" for god knows how long.
I am sure that your restarts and the electricity it used (and the unnecessary wear on components) was good for the environment (X millions of users).

Ele aparece no começo que está "Preparando Reparo Automático" depois aparece "Diagnosticando PC" e em seguida diz que não foi iniciado corretamente. How do I add my wireless printer to my list of printers? It is an HP Officejet Pro 8610. It used to work on my computer, but Bitdefender removed it along with cookies and junk files. I can print if I connect a wire, but that is not as convenient, especially since I work on my computer upstairs and the printer is downstairs.

lorsque je voulais redimensionner une application ouverte, le système me partageait l'écran en deux et m'affichait mon appli sur la partie droite de l'écran. Je pouvais ainsi afficher une autre appli sur la partie gauche.
Depuis 2 jours, j'ai du faire une fausse manœuvre car les fenêtres se dimensionnent et se positionnent n'importe où et en n'importe quelle taille.
Pouvez-vous m'indiquer où se cache ce paramètre afin de le réactiver.

I have a spreadsheet where Column E lists dates and Column K lists # of minutes. I need to find out the percentage of times minutes >7 before 1/31/16; and a separate percentage of times minutes >7 after 1/31/16. Any thoughts?
