Hello Microsoft Devs or anyone who reads,
My name is Kyle and after trying to soldier it out for about a year now I can't do windows 10. In the beginning there where a few program stability issues but these where manageable and caused primarily by compatibility issues that where fixed later down
the line by the program's developers. However with each update the system's stability began to slow and I started having issues with basic processes. I've ruled out malware or viruses with simple scans, ruled out the possibility of programs or background processes
(through a mixture of disabling background programs and clean factory reset and good old fashion closing of programs), trying to reduce data usage by disabling the many irritating systems you put in and toggle on without permission like the peer to peer update
(Seeding) option among other 'stealth' network using programs. Even tried safe mode. I've reached a point where I can barely use sites as simple as youtube and netflix is utterly unusable. Unless a site uses nothing but flash for displaying their videos (so
no streaming) i can't watch things anymore. Browsers and menus (even navigating your start menu now!) has slowed (Even tried Edge to see if that worked better, it actually did and made Youtube possible to watch but Netflix was still a no go and actually streamed
worse), I even have gotten several BSD and system crashes while trying to stream on Netlfix. With issues rising and my patience at its end I will be attempting to install Win 7 and Replace Win 10 on this laptop as soon as I find my win 7 disk. [(edit) Looks
like my plans will be delayed. My Win 7 disc is not a family pack install and its product key is already in use on my gaming computer.]
Windows Devs, please listen. You are trying to follow a more app friendly system that works for tablets and phones and mimics OSes like Apple, but this isn't why people come to you. We come to you for a stable system that doesn't hide its options or attempt
to lock us out, that's easy to use but still lets those with a tech mindset run free. You stumble yes but you usually always do better right after, look at Windows Vista! You hit a major gutter ball but then took what worked, refined it and combined it with
what was good in XP to give us 7. 8 and 8.1 should've been a wake up that this mobile style OS wouldn't work for laptops or desktops (It did work great on the phone. I had a Windows Phone for a long time and there it was good) but Windows 10 didn't learn it
took the novelties and double downed, shoving anything else to the road side.
I know it's unlikely that you will listen or that this will even get read but I cross my fingers.
Regards,
A Windows Fan,
Kyle
