Windows 10 Setup deleted my partition without notification while 'reseting' and how can I get them back?
Hi all,
I have a question for you. I have a Dell Inspiron 3558 with Windows 10 Home preinstalled.
My Windows 10 got stuck in an Automatic Repair loop and won't recover so I tried to 'repair it' by using Dell Support CD online with W10 ISO and USB key. While using that I tried to 'reset pc' while 'keeping files' but the setup deleted and formatted my entire hard drive with partition including my important files. I had moved my data to a new partition before I did all this.
How can I recover my data?
I have not touched the laptop since I had this problem so please advise. I am using my second one.
I tried a program called Recuva which finds the files but none of them are usable after recovery?
Does one need to buy Recuva Pro to make the files recoverable?
Please help!

Chose the wrong birth date; how to access my old account?
Split from this thread.
I inadvertently chose the wrong birth year when having to update my long-standing Skype account (had it since before MS bought them) -- now I can't log into my Skype account, plus, in attempting to rectify the problem, my MS account is now connected to a brand new Skype account.
How can I get back into my old Skype account so that I don't lose my contacts? Do I have to pretend to be giving myself permission and send a fax to MS???

Skype for Business error when trying to login
A few of our new users are unable to login to Skype for Business version 16.6.333.
the message they get is "We can't sign you in because your organization doesn't support this version of Skype for Business"
Testing so far;
- On this Mac i can login with my details ok without the error message
- I have tried the users details on other Macs and i get the same message
- On a Windows computer the user can login ok
i have tried
deleting the Macs login keychain and restarting (~/Library/Keychains)
deleting ~/Library/Containers/com.microsoft.SkypeForBusiness/ folder and restarting
installing Fast insider channel version 16.7.191
the odd thing is that the user can login ok on Windows but not on any Macs, and the fact that i can login ok with my credentials seems to point to an account or configuration issue.

startup programs in task manager do not start up and longer since recent update
After my last windows update, my startup programs, while listed in task manager, no longer actually start. Is there a fix to this problem?

Update my Islolated Windows Server
I want to update my islolated Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Service Pack 1 64 bit. It has been isolated for a year or so and I don't want to connect it to the internet to patch it up to date. Can I download the patches for the server to my Internet
facing Windows 7 computer and hand carry them to my isolated server? If so, how? It doesn't seem to work when I try.

OUtlook 2016 - WHERE DID DIST GROUP "ADD MEMBER" AND "RIBBON" AND ABILITY TO DELETE DIST GROUP MEMBERS GO
I am so ticked off. I use Windows 7 and moved from Office 2010 to the apparent "cloud" and pc based Office 2016 and now nothing works well in Outlook due to all the changes for the "online" look.
- I cannot edit, add or delete names from existing distribution lists.
- A search of help indicates that possibly they changed the permissions and I could have used any of four emails to create the groups or members.
- Help says to use the "Groups Ribbon" and there doesn't appear to be one. Since it did not show an example, I have no idea what to look for.
- I am unable to delete or remove dist group members. If I click the black Delete X or hit the delete button, the entire distribution list is deleted. I have to go to trash to undelete it.
- Help shows using an "Add Members" icon on the "Groups Ribbon" and there is no such thing.
- If you search in Help on "Add members to Distribution List" you don't get any related answers.
Can someone explain to me how this happened and how to recover from this Microsoft farce???? I have not been able to updqate my Outlook distribution lists for weeks.
Another background issue is I am LONG TIME Microsoft user and created separaate accounts or logins as needed for separate products like Skyp, MS Mail, online forums, etc. Now MS, Like Google has moved to the "one account for all" and caused all sorts of problems by automatically merging or using one account created for one use and making it the primary, thus locking me out of other applications until I figure out which account to use for logins. I also used different accounts for different objectives such as work vs personal on the same home network. Now, they have screwed up my ability to keep apps separate, for instance keeping Skype on a separate account for work vs personal, or for international vs domestic calls. As a consequence, it appears I probably should just move to Google and give up on MS due to their constant re-designs, "one account" mandates, etc.

Sharing word docs as an email attachment
On my previous PC I was able to share word docs as email attachments by clicking File>share>email>send as attachment. An outlook email would open and i was able to send the document as an attachment. On my new PC the Thunderbird email client opens instead
and I cant seem to be able to change it back to outlook.

Opening Folders in the Favourites Menu
Hey all!
I currently use Chrome but fancy giving Edge a proper run out. I've imported my favourites from Chrome and it's all fine BUT I'm used to being able to open folders within my Favourites menu on the left. If I try and 'open' a folder to get to a favourite it opens the Favourite menu on the right which just isn't a good use of time.
I've attached a couple of image to highlight the issue but hopefully you get the idea!

A simple AppleScript that worked with Outlook for Mac 2011 fails with 2016. I can create Outgoing Messages, but the Send command does not send them. I can manually send each, so I know the format is fine.

The message is created and stays in Outbox. If I open the message and click Send, it sends. So the format is fine. The "send" action is failing. A similar script worked fine with Outlook 2011 for Mac.

Win7 bootloop
Hello all
I have a Dell Inspiron N5050 preloaded with Win7 starter.
Since yesterday it boots the Dell splash screen then rebootsbto to the dell splash screen and so forth.
I have performed all the on board diagnostic tests with no error.
The hdd doesn't make unusual sounds and when I booted using hiren it accessed the hdd no issues.
I am not even able to enter safe mode, doesn't progress that far
Could the windows installation be whacked?
Any ideas?

Microsoft exchange Iphone problem
Hej,
Jag har problem att logga in med min e-post via Exchange, säger bara "kunde inte verifiera kontoinformationen" och det efter att jag följt våran guide på arbetsplatsen och eran, alltså jag gör som man ska men får det ej att fungera...
Något ni kan hjälpa mig med? Har en Iphone SE med senaste uppdateringen.

Je souhaite obtenir l’adresse de réclamation de MICROSOFT dédié pour les Windows Phones…
Je suis WINDOWS INSIDER depuis le 02/04/2014 et suis un inconditionnel de Microsoft puisque j’ai eu en ma possession que des WP, un 550, un 1020_Avril 2014, un 950_Novembre 2015 et le dernier un 950XL_Févier.2016 /=> facture à l’appui.
Cependant LA DERNIERE MAJ DE WINDOWS PHONE CREATOR UPDATE version 10.0.15063.251 (semaine 16) a généré des bugs de redémarrages intempestifs (parfois jusqu’à une 10zaine de fois par jours), Problèmes d’autonomie très réduite de la batterie, DES SURCHAUFFES SUCCESSIVES ET ANORMALES de mon 950XL DONT LA DERNIERE A ETE FATALE pour mon 950XL : écran noir, il ne s’allume plus et je constate des fissures sous l’écran en verre à plusieurs endroits… (j’ai signalé le souci au moins 7 fois sur le HUB de commentaire, avec les captures d’écran et fichiers de surveillance et apparemment je ne suis pas 1 cas isolé puisque mes commentaires ont obtenu des votes).
MON WP 950XL EST ENCORE SOUS GARANTI ET J’ATTENDS UNE SOLUTION RAPIDE DE LA PART DE MICROSOFT.
J’ai contacté ce jour « B2X » ce jour, et a ouvert un dossier pour transmettre aux services compétents de la firme car ils n’avaient jamais rencontré le cas et ils n’ont pas d’adresse de Microsoft à communiquer !!!
Y-a-t-il des personnes qui connaissent l’adresse à qui envoyer ma réclamation car au vu des commentaires sur « B2X », j’ai peur de rester sans téléphone pendant très longtemps…
Je compte vraiment sur le professionnalisme des personnes qui prendront en charge ma demande et sur la Qualité des Relations de Service de MICROSOFT, qui espère sera à la hauteur de leur renommé.

GMX Kalender in Outlook Calender (Windows Phone) einbinden

da es leider keine GMX oder Web.de Kalender Apps für Windows Phone gibt, möchte ich gerne die freigegebenen Kalender meiner Freunde, die zum Teil einen GMX- und zum Teil einen Web.de-Kalender unterhalten, in meinen Windows Phone Kalender (Outlook Calendar) einbinden. Eigentlich so, wie es im Desktop-Outlook ohne Probleme funktioniert. Wie kann ich das auf meinem Lumia 640 einrichten?

Change mail password in win10 mail
Hello,
I've been searching the internet for a while, i browsed questions asked here and i cannot seem to find a solution to this.
Recently i added a gmail account to the mail app for windows 10 and for security reasons i added an app password. Now to set this up, i need to change the password of the account in the mail app but i don't have the option for this.
now everywhere i look up for a solution, it says i should have the "change account settings option" which is not here. As a matter of fact, it's not there even for the outlook account.
Did something change that i don't know? Am i doing something wrong?

Recuperar ítens excluídos há mais de 30 dias
No dia 24/04/2017 eu recebi um e-mail com boleto bancário em PDF, porém este PDF estava em branco e portanto eu apaguei o e-mail. A Instituição bancária me procurou alegando que o PDF não estava em branco, porém como apaguei o e-mail há mais de 30 dias
eu não consigo recuperá-lo para provar a verdade. Preciso saber se há possibilidade de recuperar e-mails excluídos há mais de 30 dias.

criação da imagem do windows (WindowsImageBackup)
Ao criar imagem da minha instalação do Windows o programa dá erro, indicando a falta de um arquivo, e a geração da imagem pára, e a caixinha de progresso fica vermelha.
Tive a mesma resposta usando diferentes hd's externos.
Isso indicaria defeito na instalação atual do Windows?
